GREENE
Dennis William
“Denny” “Den”

July 22, 1955 - February 6, 2023

Dennis was born in Drumheller, Alberta to Gordon and Margaret Greene. He was the middle child of three children. He is survived by his Father Gordon, older brother Dale Greene (wife Leanne, and nephew and nieces Chris, Lana, Stephanie, Jessie) and younger sister Wendy Greene (significant other Metro, nieces Maggie, Sadie) Dennis is also survived by two children he loved very much. His daughter Denise Ocampo (Richard) and grandchildren Aaron, April ( Ty, and great granddaughter Lily) and son Graham ( Jasmine, and great granddaughter Ozzy) Dennis was predeceased by his Mother, Margaret Greene.
Dennis worked throughout his early teens and into his early twenties with his father, eventually venturing away from his Dad’s company into his own company DW Greene Construction which he mostly ran out of Hanna, Alberta. Dennis took pride in his work and loved what he did. He enjoyed working with his hands and could make something out of anything. He enjoyed a challenge and was not afraid of anything, including heights, as he worked many years on rebar.
Dennis loved the outdoors. He loved riding his bike. He was a hunter, a fisherman, and in his youth he was an amazing water-skier, and also played hockey for a good portion of his life. Dennis would make time for anyone especially the old, young, and the disabled. Dennis could make almost anyone smile and loved to have colorful conversations with anyone who crossed his path. He would give you the shirt off his back if he had it to give.
Dennis died suddenly of heart failure in Kamloops where he had just moved. Dennis had loved that area since his early twenties and had long said that is where he wanted to retire.
There will be no funeral held as the family is planning a small campout at a later date and time. The entire would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and condolences. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.

Corinne

July 11, 1955 - February 4, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Cory. She was called home after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Cory was born and raised in Drumheller, AB to John and Antoinette Holowatiuk. She moved to Westbank, B.C in 1984 so she could be closer to her mother and is where she met the love of her life John Ziegler. They eventually moved back to the valley in the late ‘90’s. Cory played many different sports including softball and was a member of the “Bad News Broads”. She embraced being a student of the Westbank Karate dojo. She was also an avid Calgary Flames fan. Cory loved music, dancing and travelling. She enjoyed spending her days and nights tending to her gardens, taking great pride in her beautiful flowers. She found comfort following and discussing the Bible scripture. She cared deeply for her many pets throughout the years and making memories with her grandchildren. Cory will be dearly missed by her husband John Ziegler, her sisters Jennifer Jones, Linda (Ken) Glover, daughter Michelle Tabert (Rich) son John Tabert (Crystal) grandchildren Chelsea, Chloe, Luke and Jackson, As well as many other family and friends. Cory requested no service to be held, but wished to have a celebration of life that will be held at a later date. Considering Cory’s love of animals if friends so desire, donations can be made to the Drumheller District Humane Society.

May 22, 1942 - February 7, 2023

Barry Keirle, beloved husband of Carol Keirle passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on February 7, 2023 at the age of 80 yrs.
Barry met the love of his life Carol Zimmerman at Western Canada High School in Calgary. They married in 1962. Barry took Agricultural Mechanics at the Southern Institute of Technology in Calgary. They moved to the farm in the Rainbow District (Verdant Valley) in the spring of 1963, they had cattle, grain and irrigation. He enjoyed working on the farm, snowmobiling, curling, water skiing, downhill skiing, and family trips. His wish was to take his kids and grandkids on a trip to Nova Scotia to see their family roots of his mother Luella Lawrence. We accomplished that trip in the summer of 2022 making generational memories. They moved to Drumheller in 2018 and spent their winters in Arizona, they made new friends and enjoyed playing water volleyball, golfing, shuffleboard and going to car shows. Whenever his grandchildren came to visit him in Arizona, he was a loving, generous host, showing them all his favourite places to eat and play. While in Drumheller he joined the car club and went on the weekly cruise nights with Carol in his 1958 Dodge Royal.
Barry is survived by his wife Carol, children David (Bonnie) Keirle, Shelly (Greg) Polzin, Lisa (Trevor) Hawkins and Michelle (Logan) Drydale. Grandchildren - Justin (Jennifer) & Tyson (Monique) Groeneveld, Michael Lowey & Kimberly Polzin, Chase (Paige), Colten (Sarah) & Reese Drydale. Also his brother, Frank (Bonnie) Keirle. Barry was predeceased by Luella (Mother), Oscar (Father), Johnny (Brother) and Shirley (Sister In-law) and Lawrence (Nephew) Keirle.
