ADAMS, Sandra

Sandra Lynette, much loved daughter of Don & Linda Adams of Drumheller passed away October 21, 2010 at her home in Red Deer. Sandra was born in Edmonton October 28, 1974 and was a gift to our family almost a year later. She attended Morrin school through Grade 12, followed by a year at Olds College and completed her Office Administration Diploma at Red Deer College in 1997. At this time her earlier diagnosed kidney disease had progressed to dialysis, followed by a kidney transplant in 2002 giving her the joy and opportunity to enjoy a full life. The fellowship of Kentwood Alliance Church and her unwavering faith gave her many missions to fill her days. Their congregation were her second family. She loved family time, camping at Ol’MacDonalds, scrap booking and most especially spending time with her many friends. Her courage and determination in the face of many adversities has and will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her parents Don & Linda, her 3 brothers Scott (Jan), Trevor (Althea) and Brett (Terra) and eight nieces and nephews, Emily, Frances and Rowan, Gregory and Coulbourn, and Amy, Jack and Samuel. Her Aunt Betty Ann (Dwight) Lewis and Uncle Gordon (Linda) Adams and cousins Jo Ann and Lori, Nanci and Glenn. She was predeceased by her baby brother Gregory and her grandparents. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 28 at 2 pm at Kentwood Alliance Church at 4 Kennedy Drive, Red Deer, Alberta. Memorial donations in Sandra’s name may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Kentwood Alliance Church. And please sign your organ donor card. Sylvan Lake Funeral Home Phone: 403-887-2151.
