It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Ruth Tremblay on August 16, 2009 at the age of seventy years. She is survived by her husband Fern Tremblay of Rumsey, six children; Mike Tremblay of Vancouver, Jo-Anne (Gary) Dalton of Drumheller, Dan (Connie) Tremblay of Munson, Sylvie Tremblay (Mark Smitten) of Stettler, Buddy Tremblay (Crystal Anderson) of Drumheller and Raymond Tremblay, also of Drumheller. Grandchildren Vanissa (Dan) Trout, Logan Tremblay and their mom Christine Lavine, Odessa Nicholson, Shannon (Jeff) Currie, Jason Dalton, Christopher (Katrina) Regehr, Danielle Tremblay, Colin Tremblay, Jeff Smitten (Janene), Cody Smitten (Chelsea) and Kira Tremblay, great-grandchildren Darien Currie, Rayowynn Currie, Talina Currie and Ella Regehr. Ruth is also survived by her brothers and sisters Aaron Drexler and Don (Susan) Drexler, both of Vernon, Betty Hart of Kamloops, Pat (Terry) O’Connor Browne, Judy (Pat) Thompson, both of Drumheller and Joe (Louise) Drexler of Leduc. Brothers-in law and sisters-in-law Andre (Ginette), Monique (Yvon), Dyane, Collette (Robert), Therese and Cecile (Michel) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Pauline Drexler, grandson Ryan Tremblay, brother-in-law Glen Hart, sister-in-law Anne Drexler, sister-in-law Helene (Yvon) Boudreault and father-in-law Armand Tremblay and mother-in-law Alphena Tremblay. A funeral service for the late Ruth Tremblay will be held at the Knox United Church in Drumheller on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jan Richardson officiating. As an expression of sympathy, and in loving memory of Ruth, memorial contributions may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney foundation in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O.
