1929 - 2009
Helmut was born to Christopher and Ottilia on January 31, 1929 in Hanna, Alberta. He passed away with his family by his side into the loving care of his Lord on June 12, 2009 at the age of 80 years. He was baptized on March 10, 1929, confirmed on March 25, 1945 and married Mildred Rosin on October 22, 1954 all taking place at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in the Hand Hills, where he has been a member all his life. Granddad will live on forever in the hearts of his wife Mildred; son Cal (Deb); daughter Patti (Kim); grandchildren Chris and Megan Werner, Kerry and T.J. Wells and great grandchildren Danielle and Kiefer Wells. Granddad was passionate about everything he did, especially family and church. He enjoyed fishing, reading, crosswords and all sports. Helmut was “Granddad” to many. He loved children and children loved him. Helmut knew his saviour, he knew the truth, and we now rejoice that he is free. Funeral service is at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in the Hand Hills Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M for family only with interment in St Paul’s cemetery. The luncheon will be held at Hand Hills Lake Hall at 3:00 P.M. everyone welcome. If friends so desire donations may be made in Helmut’s name to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
