1922 - 2009
Nick passed away peacefully at the Drumheller Continuing Care on Thursday, June 4, 2009. Nick was born in Vonda, Saskatchewan where he lived until moving to Vancouver where he met his wife Maudie. In 1948, they moved to East Coulee where he worked in the coal mines until they shut down, then worked at construction camps until retirement. Nick is survived by his daughter Jane (Ron) Montgomery of East Coulee and his son Gary (Lynn) Hendrey of Calgary. He was predeceased by his wife Maudie, his daughters Margaret and Sherry and his sons Nicky and Johnny. He also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Drumheller Cemetery on Friday, June 12 at 2 p.m. Luncheon to follow service at East Coulee Community Hall.
