Surrounded by family, Don passd away at the age of seventy years, after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the Three Hills Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Irene, his children Brad Primrose (Leah), Greg Primrose (Rhonda), Shelley Hodge (David), Connie Primrose (Jason), fourteen grandchildren, his father Don Primrose, sister Pat Pierce (Charlie), special uncle and aunt (Eric and Jean Primrose), many other loving relatives and friends. Don was predeceased by sister-in-law Carol Primrose (1984), mother Helen Primrose (1987), twin brother Ron Primrose (1997). A memorial service for Don was held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Trochu, AB on May 23, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Three Hills Hospital Palliative Care, Box 340, Three Hills, AB, T0M 2A0.
And a cure was not to be
So He put his arms around him
And whispered, “Come with me”,
With tear filled eyes we watched him suffer and fade away.
Although we loved him deeply
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hardworking hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
