HOREHLAD, Pauline (Drozdiak)

Pauline was the loving wife of Adam Horehlad. Born May 11, 1922 in Edson, Alberta she was the youngest of eight siblings. Pauline died May 23, 2009 in Drumheller, Alberta.
Throughout the years Pauline moved and lived in Vancouver, Cranbrook, Kimberly, and Montreal. During her stay in Cranbrook, BC, as a bank clerk, Pauline also became a member of an all women club called the Stagettes Club where she danced and acted. As a prominent member, Pauline was elected and became an officer for a term with the Stagettes.
When her sister, Olga, began to teach in Kimberly, BC, Pauline also moved to Kimberly in 1945. Pauline was a clerk at the local Confectionery in Kimberly when she was approached by the Kinsmen Club to be nominee for the Carnival Queen and Miss C.P.R.  during the celebration of the Golden Spikes Days in conjunction with Revelstoke, BC. We were all proud as her picture was posted around town.
