Jane passed away during the morning of Saturday December 20 at the age of 71. A dedicated nurse, mother, and grandmother; Jane was a Registered Nurse for 40 years in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Nearly a decade of her career as a nurse was also spent at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She is pre-deceased by two older brothers, and survived by three sisters living in England, the United States, and the Caribbean. She is also survived by her sons, Harold & James, her daughter in-law Amel, and her grandson Jordan who was her pride and joy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Drumheller Extended Care, and the Drumheller Hospital for their kindness, compassion and care. Getting through this difficult time would not have been possible without all of them. Harold would also like to extend a personal thanks to all in the community who have supported him, and still continue to put forth their support. A burial service has taken place at Westlawn Cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta on December 24, 2008. A memorial service will be held at Knox United Church in Drumheller, Alberta, on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
