MAXWELL, Marie Geneveve
August 23, 1943 - November 29, 2014
After a courageous battle with cancer Geneva passed away with her family by her side at the Drumheller Hospital. Geneva leaves to mourn her; husband of 51 years Don, her daughters, Pam (Ken) Couturier, Donna (Joe) Peloquin, grandkids Christina (Bruce) Porter, Marsha Couturier, Candace (Brett) Scherger, Devon, Samantha and Jennifer Ptashnik, her sisters Rose Gordey and Judy Campbell, her great grandchildren Tamara Couturier, Logan, Conner and Brayden Porter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Geneva worked as a Physiotherapist for many years at the Drumheller Hospital. She was a strong woman, who ruled her house with an iron fist, unless it involved her grandkids. Geneva always had a kind smile and a big heart. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those close to her. Her pride and joy was her garden and her flowers. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, December 5, 2014, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 151 3 Street West, Drumheller, AB, with Father Fernando Genogaling officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation 351-9th Street NW Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y1 in care of the (palliative care unit).
