Leonhardt, Brian Robert

Brian passed away suddenly in Brooks, Alberta on June 17, 2014 at the age of 54 years. Brian was born to Lawrence and Agnes Leonhardt on October 7, 1959. He grew up on the family farm in Verdant Valley and attended school there until grade 8, then graduated from high school in Drumheller in 1978. From there he attended Olds College taking Agricultural Mechanics and Farm and Ranch Management. Brian was a member of the Drumheller 4-H Beef Club and enjoyed wood working. A highlight for Brian was socializing with family and friends and attending dances. Brian was Baptized and Confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Drumheller. For most of Brian’s adult life he lived and worked in Brooks. Brian was predeceased by his parents, his sister Lori-Anne McCabe and brother-in-law Veryle McCabe. He is survived by his nieces Anne-Marie and Nytasha McCabe, one aunt Helen Klimek and numerous cousins. A memorial service for Brian will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Drumheller, AB.
