Hunter, (Nee Peterson) Lorraine Mae
May 27, 1941 - June 6, 2014
Lorraine M. Hunter succumbed to the ravages of cancer and passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Friday June 6, 2014 at the age of 73 years.
Born and reared in Drumheller, Alberta, she completed her nursing education in Calgary. She then pursued her Registered Nursing career in Moose Jaw, Edmonton and Calgary. This career was interrupted to be a “stay at home mom” and to also assist her husband in his land surveying practice.
Besides her loving husband Wm. R. (Bill) Hunter of forty-seven years, Lorraine is survived by her two devoted daughters and sons-in-law; Tara and Paul Roett and Kirsten and Robert Zimola; four adorable grandchildren, Kate and Kurtis Roett and Drew and Ben Zimola. She is also survived by her dear brother and sister-in-law Don and Lynn Petersen and their family.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W. Calgary, AB), on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Drumheller Cemetery on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
