Elmer Friedley passed away at home on March 22, 2014, after a life well lived. Elmer is survived by; his sister Vera Shartner, his sister-in-law, Noreen Graumann, and his 5 children: Joan McCuaig (Danny), Judy Kuhnert, Gordan Friedley, Garry Friedley (Barbara), Douglas Friedley (Myrtle), and many nieces and nephews as well 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Elmer was predeceased by; his parents, his wife, Pauline, his five brothers: Clifford (Marguerite), Roy, Harold, Bill (Joan) and Raymond (Martha) and 2 sisters: Phyllis Berkheim (John) and Daisy Killian (Bill). Elmer with his wife, Pauline, his brothers, and sons, carried out his love of farming his entire life in the Delia district. Saskatoon picking and fall harvest were some of the highlights of his years. A Celebration of Elmer’s life will be held at the Delia Community Hall on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with Harold Hunter officiating.
