Surrounded by his loving family, Our Heart, Our Rock passed away October 31, 2013 after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. Gren is survived by his wife and only sweetheart Danna; sons Russel (Kym) and Michael (Mandi); his Grandchildren and greatest joys: Derek (Jenn), Curtis, Nate and Danicka. He is also survived by his sisters: Barbara (Paul) Calon, Marina (Bruce) Glennie, and Linda Wilson as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Gren was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Walter; and sister, Cora Ripper. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Stollery or Stars if so desired. A Celebration of Gren’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Appel Funeral Home, 10530-116 Street, Edmonton, AB.
