It’s with great sadness, the family of Virginia Ohlhauser has to announce her passing. Virginia was born September 27, 1914 and passed away September 6, 2013 at the age of 98 years, in the Drumheller Hospital. Virginia Little grew up in the farming community of Grainger, Alberta. She met and married Edward Ohlhauser on March 20, 1934. They moved to the Carbon community to continue the family farming tradition. They had four children, Merle, Joanne, Archie, and Kim. Virginia is predeceased by her parents, Tom and Tina Little, husband Edward, children Joanne Martin and Archie, and her siblings Norman, Gordon, Tom, Jack, Lorne, Bill, and Gladys Reid. She is survived by two brothers, Allan (Donna) and Fred (Marchia), two children Merle (Lillian) and Kim, daughter-in-law Deanna, and son-in-law Tom Martin. Virginia was known as Grandma by 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Great Grandchild, Landon of Escalon, CA. Virginia is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, too numerous to mention. A grateful thanks goes out from the family to Pat for being with her at her last moments. Funeral services will be held this Saturday at the Carbon Community Center, September 14th, 2013 at 2 pm.
