BOYER Dianna Shirley

BOYER Dianna Shirley
November 1, 1943 - June 16, 2013

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our dear and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother on June 16, 2013 in Calgary, Alberta. Most will remember Dianna as a woman who loved and cared about people and who brought much joy to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she may have been small in stature, she was an incredibly strong and courageous person. Dianna was born in Neudorf, Saskatchewan on November 1, 1943 and at the age of 19 met Don in Hawaii and the two were married there. Dianna enjoyed many family camping trips over the years to Sandpoint, Idaho as well as trips to Texas and Hawaii. She was a lover of flowers and gardening and was known for preparing amazing meals for family and friends. Dianna was a caregiver by nature and enjoyed her 25 years working at the Drumheller Hospital. She later followed her passion and pursued her career in being a Cutco representative where she loved her customers and  friends that supported her. Her hard work and perseverance earned her a ‘Rising Star’ award with Cutco. Dianna leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Don; daughter Shelley (Bryan); son Paul (Vanessa); grandchildren Alyssa, Paige and Khloe; step-grandchildren Cole and Cameron; sisters Maxine Breakell and Marilyn Dorohoy as well as numerous other family members. Dianna was predeceased by her parents Barbara Campbell and Thomas Piea and her brother Albert Armstrong and brothers-in-law Bob Breakell and App Dorohoy. A Celebration of Dianna’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Magloire’s Anglican Church, Drumheller, Alberta with Todd Reinholt, CFC, officiating. Donations in memory of Dianna are gratefully accepted by the Royal Bank of Canada, Drumheller, Alberta to ‘Dianna Boyer Grandchildren Trust Fund’ after July 2, 2013. Courtney-Winters Funeral Home and Crematorium (403-823-2666) in care of arrangements.
