Evelyn Merle, beloved wife, Mom, Granny, born September 8, 1940 to Bill and Muriel, in Drumheller, AB peacefully passed away on Christmas day at the age of 72 years. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Al, and her children: Sherry (Rick), Wendy (Ray), Linda (Bruce), and Glenn (Carolyn). Evelyn had 11 grandchildren: Amy, Dayna, Jay, Ryan, Mark, Sarah, Devon, Paula, Leah, Brendan and Jeremy. Great-grandchildren: Ethan, Caiden, Garnett, Wayland, Julia, Ayla, and Evverett. Mom was a remarkable woman. There wasn’t a craft she couldn’t master. Mom also had an adventurous, mischievous spirit. Evelyn’s wonderful smile, beautiful laugh and amazing heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Heaven is smiling, Earth is crying. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Dana, brothers Walter and Ray. Surviving are sister Flossy (Art) Klan, brother Fred (Gerri), sister Marion, brother Murray (Marion), sisters-in-law Anna and Betty Shadlock and June Thomson. Services were held at Gospel Chapel, Sylvan Lake, AB. December 29, 2012. 3p
