With heavy hearts we say “Goodbye” to our Mom. It will be great comfort to know she is reunited with her son Jack. Maria Beauchamp of Drumheller passed away peacefully on November 26, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Maria was born in Handlova, Czechoslavia on March 21, 1923 on the first day of spring. Maria went to school in Czechoslavia and then later came to Canada on November 2, 1933. Maria lived in Wayne, AB until January 26, 1937 and then moved to Taber, AB from 1945 to 1946. She then moved back to Drumheller in 1946 and lived in Midland. Maria worked as a telephone operator, Administrative Assistant and then she worked for AJ Samuel Plumbing and Heating. Maria loved gardening, crocheting, knitting and baking which kept her busy. She was also a great socializer. Maria was also a member of the CWL. One of her achievements was graduating from Garbetts Business College. Maria is survived by; her three daughters Marilyn (Brent) Moss, Chris (Michele), Shane (Myra), Kiran and Kayden, Geri (Scott) Cole, Marnie (Trevor), Courtney and Colby, Ross (Rosie), Eva Jill (Bruce) Wade, Kyle (Claire), Oliver, Steven (Martina), as well as two sons: Jack (deceased) (Debra) Beauchamp, Matt (Jane), Mike, Jennifer (Mike) Brynn, Bob (Chris) Beauchamp, Toni-Lynn (Pat) Jonathan and Alex, Bobbi, Desiree (Josh), Luke, Kael, Melanie, Adam (Ashley), Elli and Sydney, as well as her two sisters Julia Kinsley and Lillian Dobish. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7-8 P.M., on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home 199-2nd Street West, Drumheller, Alberta. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, December 7, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Mario Basque officiating.
