GERODO, Elizabeth
May 18, 1921 - December 25, 2011
Elizabeth, a long time resident of Drumheller, passed away at the Drumheller Hospital after a brief illness. Liz, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Melitopol, Russia. She came to Canada in 1926 with her parents Justine and Jacob, and her siblings Nick and Katie. Liz attended schools at Creighton, Munson and Midland. In 1945, she married Joseph Gerodo, who was working in the mining industry. She was predeceased by her husband Joe and a son Dale. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Sisson and sons Alvin, Gary and Joe Jr. Also left to remember her are nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers Nick (Jean), Ed (Shirley), and Betty Sandulak, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced in The Drumheller Mail. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the local Hospital Auxilliary or a charitable organization of your choice.
