STOKALKO, Sarah
It is with much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of long time valley resident Sarah Stokalko. Sarah was born January 19, 1917 in the County of Tyrone, Ireland. Sarah has resided in the Drumheller valley since 1948. Sarah enjoyed crocheting, and had spectacular skills in the growing of her flowers and incredible cooking talents. Sarah is survived by her three children; Dale (Carol) of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Sherry of Fort Myers, Florida and Tom (Patsy) of Drumheller, Alberta. Four grand children: Kym, Sean, Tom and Bob, along with four great grandchildren. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Tom Stokalko on November 25, 1992 along with her daughter and caregiver Beryle Freill on January 1, 2008. Special thanks to Dr. Olfert and the incredible staff at the Drumheller Regional Health Centre in the Continuing Care facility. The Funeral service for Sarah will be Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Courtney-Winters Funeral Chapel, Drumheller, Alberta.
