Dragons fall short to Kodiaks at home Friday night

Sarah Devereaux

The Drumheller Dragons played a tough game Friday night at Memorial Arena, but fell short to the visiting Camrose Kodiaks late in the third period.
Rory Davidson opened scoring for the Dragons in the first, before the Kodiaks scored three straight goals ending the first period 3-1.
Reid Nemeth scored a power play goal and Davidson scored his second of the game, both in the second period, to even the score at 3-3.
The third period had lots of back-and-forth play before the Kodiaks scored two goals, the first at 18:24 and the second, an empty net goal, at 19:41 to secure the 5-3 win over the Dragons.
The Dragons will now host the Okotoks Oilers Monday night for their final game before the Christmas break. Game time is 7 p.m. at Memorial Arena.
