RCMP investigate fatal collision near Swalwell

Around 9:30 p.m. on November 19, 2014 Beiseker RCMP with assistance of Three Hills and Airdrie RCMP, Carbon and Linden Fire Departments and EMS responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 21 and Township Road 300 near the community of Swalwell.     
 
The driver, lone occupant, of a westbound pickup failed to stop his vehicle before entering highway 21 and drove into the path of a southbound pickup.  The 21 male driver formerly of Beiseker died at the scene.  The lone occupant of the southbound pickup was taken to Three Hills Hospital and being treated for minor injuries.
 
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the collision
