Celebrating Seniors on National Seniors Day

Wendy Dodd, left, and Eva Bachynski, right, help with a reminder that October 1 is National Seniors Day.
Spend some time with a special senior, get them a favourite treat, or give them another special thank you.
The Drumheller Public Library has cards available to fill out to say a special thank you to seniors.
The cards are on a table inside the library doors, and can be filled out until library close at 8 p.m.
On this day, remember the phrase: “What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort, lessons and life, and most importantly - cookies!”
