Ministerial marks Holy Week

The Easter season is the most important time of the year for Christians and congregations throughout Drumheller will be marking Holy Week as a community.
The Drumheller Ministerial has put together a number of opportunities for Christians to celebrate this sacred time within their own churches as well as the community at large.
On Good Friday, there is a combined Community Communion Service at Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle. This is an interdenominational event and offerings will be taken in benefit of the Canadian Badlands Passion Play as well as the local Salvation Army Food Bank.
At noon on Good Friday, there will be a free barbecue lunch at Elim and at 1 p.m., they will be staging The Way of the Cross. This is a prayer walk, reflecting on the 14 Stations of the Cross.
These events are arranged so they will not interfere with individual churches’ services.
On Easter Sunday, there is a combined Sunrise Service at the Canadian Badlands Passion Play at 8 a.m. There will also be a breakfast at the Badlands Community Facility at 9 a.m.
