HELP WANTED... Hanna area Family Coach - Part Time Position. Golden Prairie Parent Link is seeking an engaging, energetic, creative, and flexible individual to fill the position of Family Coach starting in September 2014. This is a part time (23 to 25 hours per week) contract position and is dependent on provincial funding from the Ministry of Human Services. Under the direction of the Parent Link Supervisor, the Family Coach will be responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of Parent Link programs and services in Hanna, Delia and area. Position duties will include: planning and implementing early childhood development programs to coach parents along with children, parent education and consultations, providing developmental screenings and offering individual and parent support and referrals, gathering data and reaching out to the community. The ideal candidate will possess:
· A minimum of a two year diploma in a social/human services discipline;
· Group facilitation and training skills – working with adults and children;
· Knowledge of early childhood development;
· Understanding of the needs of parents, children and families;
· An ability to gather and record data for statistical purposes
Salary dependent on experience and education. Employment is dependent on satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records check and ACS Intervention check. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Evening and weekend work will be necessary.
