Q: I am concerned about a wet basement; does a home inspection look at that? Yes, wet basements are client’s number one concern. An inspection includes looking for moisture and evidence of previous wet basement problems such as staining and damaged drywall. Also most inspectors will carry a moisture meter to check any areas of concern. An inspection will also include describing preventative measures such as repairing gutters or landscaping.
