Golden Prairie Parent Link is seeking an engaging, energetic, creative, and flexible individual to fill the position of Parent and Family Coach starting in April 2014. This is a part time (21-25 hours per week) contract position that runs yearly from April 1-March 31 and is dependent on provincial funding from the Ministry of Human Services. Under the direction of the Parent Link Supervisor, the Parent and Family Coach will be responsible for plan
ning, implementation and evaluation of Parent Link programs and services in Acme, Carbon, Linden, Three Hills and Trochu area. The ideal candidate will possess:
a minimum of a two year diploma in a social/human services discipline;
As Parent and Family coach you would:
•Plan and implement early childhood development programs to
coach parents along with children, •Provide parent education and consultations,
•Arrange for developmental screenings and offer individual and parent support and referrals,
•Gather data, do reporting as required
•And engage the community.
Salary dependent on experience and education
Employment is dependent on satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records check and ACS Intervention check. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Evening and weekend work will be necessary. The closing date for receiving resumes is Friday, April 2 or until a suitable candidate is found.
