HELP WANTED... Kneehill area Parent and Family Coach, part time Position. Golden Prairie Parent Link is seeking an engaging, energetic, creative, and flexible individual to fill the position of Parent and Family Coach. This is a part time (23 hours per week) contract position dependent on provincial funding. Under the direction of the Parent Link Supervisor, the Parent and Family Coach will be responsible for planning, presenting and evaluation of Parent Link programs and services in Acme, Carbon, Linden, Three Hills and Trochu area.
Position duties will include: planning and implementing early childhood development programs to coach parents along with children, parent education and consultations, providing developmental screenings and offering individual and parent support and referrals, gathering data and reaching out to the community.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A minimum of a two year diploma in a social and/or human services discipline;
• Group facilitation and training skills – working with adults and children;
• Knowledge of early childhood development;
• Understanding of the needs of parents, children and families;
• The ability to gather and record data for statistical and reporting purposes
Salary dependent on experience and education
Employment is dependent on satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records check and ACS Intervention check. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Evening and weekend work will be necessary. The closing date for receiving resumes is April 5 or until a suitable candidate is found.
