NAGY: Alexander Jr. June 20, 1931 – May 23, 2008
The family of Alex Nagy are sad to announce his passing on May 23, 2008. Alex is survived by his loving wife Penny (Waltraud); his children Cheryl (Frank), Wendy (Murray), Michele (Bruce), Roxanne (Greg), Bryan (Karen); grandchildren Julianne (Marcos), Ryan (Mindy), Ricky, Kurtis, Colin, Joel, Kyle; great grandchildren Quinton, Nico, Emma, Hallie as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Alex was predeceased by his father Alexander Sr. and his mother Helen as well as his brothers Steve and Emil. Alex was born in Carbon Alberta; lived for a short period in Midland and, as a child moved, with his parents to their farm in Delia in 1944 and resided there until their move to High River in 2007. In addition to farming, Alex had a passion for carpentry – his skills are known throughout the community and many people have his handiwork in their homes. Alex also contributed to his community over the years by volunteering as hockey coach, 4-H Leader, and sat as a member of several community Boards. A Celebration of Alex’s life will be held at the Delia Community Centre on Thursday, May 29, 2008 @ 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Foothills County Hospice (Okotoks) or the High River Palliative Care Unit. The Nagy Family would like to thank Dr. Spice and Linda Reed Paul as well as all of the many Hospital, Home Care and Palliative medical staff who attended his bedside over the past few months. Your caring was noticed.
Some may think you are forgotten
Though on earth you are no more
But in memory you are with us
As you always were before
