FERADI
: Albert Martin February 22, 1929 - October 5, 2007
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Albert (Ab) Feradi of
Hussar, Alberta on October 5, 2007 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary,
Alberta, following a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 47
years, Barb (nee Moulton), his children and grandchildren: Jim - Shawna Marie;
Shelley – Josh, Bryce and Darby; John (Shawna Lee) – Jordan and Gavin. He is
also survived by sisters Marguerite Feradi, Sylvia Kenzler and Frieda Feradi,
brother Otto Feradi (Bertha); nieces & nephews. Born February 22nd, 1929 to
Bernhardt and Marie Feradi in Stettler, AB, Ab was raised on the family farm
before attending the agricultural school in Vermillion, Alberta. He settled in
Hussar in 1951 working on area farms before venturing into the bulk fuel
business with Imperial Oil in 1957. Ab married Barb in 1960, and shortly
thereafter he was appointed the first manager of the Wheatland Co-op. After a
short stint as manager of the Co-op in Olds, they returned to Hussar in 1968 as
owners and operators of Feradi Auto Service Ltd, before retiring in 1997. Ab had
a strong love of the community, volunteering tirelessly on countless projects in
Hussar and area. He had a wide circle of friends and his unique sense of humor
will be greatly missed. Above all else, his love and pride in his family, was
unquestioned by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in the
Hussar Community Hall on Friday October 12, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers,

SOWERBY: Ryan Gerald 1972 - 2007
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ryan Sowerby on
October 5, 2007 near Rosebud, Alberta. Ryan was born in Drumheller, Alberta on
July 29, 1972. He attended Carbon School and continued on to college in Kamloops
to earn a Small Engine and Marine Mechanics certificate. Ryan worked as a
professional truck driver in the Drumheller area for many years. One of his
proudest achievements was operating a Honduran bar on the island of Roatan for
several years. Ryan was someone who could find the humour in any situation and
made all around him appreciate the moment.
Ryan is survived by his fiancé Annick Girouard and expected child; mother Wendy Barber; father Brian Sowerby (Sheila); brothers Trevor (Lisa), Daniel (Ginette), Michael (Jennifer); and nephews and nieces Kyla, Addison, Justin and Avery; grandfather Len Davies, mother-in-law Ginette (George) Kelly; father-in-law Serge Girouard; brother-in-law Yan Girouard (Lilly); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Alice Davies and his paternal grandparents Jean and Leo Spitzig. In celebration of Ryan’s life an informal memorial luncheon will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Carbon Community Centre from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made at any Alberta Treasury Branch under the “Baby Girouard-Sowerby” Trust Account.
