FERGEL: Arno  September 6, 1909 - April 28, 2007

Arno passed away peacefully at Carewest Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, AB on April 28, 2007. He was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada with his wife Ilse and family in 1954. Proud, strong and forgiving, he always welcomed the company of his family. Predeceased by his wife, Ilse in September of 2006, Arno is survived by his children, Gerhard (Dorothy), Helga (Herbert), Gisela (Roger), Horst (Imelda), Ursula (Mike), Monika (Jim) and many treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends, whose hearts he touched. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew’s United Church, 2035 – 26A St. SW, Calgary, AB on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place the following day, Friday, May 4, 2007 at 11:00 am at Mountain View Memorial Gardens ( 17th Ave. SE and Garden Road) in Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Arno may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 2nd floor, 215 – 12th Ave. SE, Calgary AB T2G 1A2, or a charity of choice.
