JACQUES: Kevin  1978 - 2007

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Troy Jacques on May 31, 2007 at the age of 28 years. Kevin was born July 1, 1978 in Drumheller to Ray and Shirley Jacques. Kevin had a zest for life, and a great love of people. Kevin saw good in everybody; he wasn’t quick to judge; he had the ability, or maybe the gift, to take people at face value. That is a quality that not many of us possess. In that respect we could all take a page out of Kevin’s book. Kevin took great pride in his children, as he treasured every precious moment he had with them, he recognized that children were a gift, and not ever to be taken for granted or mistreated. Kevin had a real “need for speed”, as he spent many hours dirt biking and quading, and not always successfully. He had many spills evidenced by all the scars left, but none the less he loved it. As his family we will treasure the time we had with him.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his special children, Dakota, Drayden, Desiree`; his mother Shirley Jacques; his kindred spirit Laureen Martin; brother Darryl (Lisa), sisters Darla (Rob), Lorilee (Clint), his niece Ayrianna, his nephews Dallas, Brady, Austin; uncles, aunts, cousins, a lifetime of friends, and the mother of his children Lois.

Kevin was predeceased by his dad Ray Jacques in February of 2007, aunt Peggy, nephew Cain, and his grandparents. Funeral services for Kevin will be held Thursday, June 7, at 1:30 P.M. at St. Magloire’s Anglican Church (Drumheller) with Rev. Mac Jones officiating, Kevin will be laid to rest with his dad at the Drumheller Cemetery.  If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S. or the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
