DODD: June Elizabeth 1926 - 2006
June passed away peacefully with her family at her side on October
21, 2006. She was 80 years old. June was born on August 31, 1926 at Drumheller
to Emily and Tom Montgomery. She was the third eldest of 7 children. June grew
up in the Morrin area attending school at Golden Grain, Drumheller High and then
on to Olds Agriculture College. She was united in marriage to Gordon Dodd on
January 14, 1950. They lived on the Dodd Homestead and on August 10, 1953 she
gave birth to their only son Larry. June was an excellent mother, cook,
housekeeper, gardener, and June also loved curling, riding horses, cross country
skiing, oil painting, entertaining and visiting with family and friends. The
arrival of her three grandchildren; Sarah, Michelle, and Daniel was her greatest
joy and she was the absolute best grandmother there could be. June and Gordon
moved to Morrin in 1990. In 1999 Gordon passed and life was never quite the same
for June.
June will be lovingly remembered by Larry and Cindy, grandchildren; Sarah, Michelle, and Daniel. She is also survived by her loving sisters Nancy Blanchett and Agnes Stoness; sister-in-law Clara Montgomery; brothers Eugene and Steve (Pat) Montgomery. June was predeceased by her parents and brothers; Vance and Jimmy (Diana) Montgomery. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Morrin Community Hall, Morrin, Alberta. JABLONSKI: Frank 1927 - 2006
Frank passed away at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm,
B.C. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the age of 79 years.Frank was born in
Wrabczyn Gorski, Poland, on February 22, 1927. He immigrated to Canada in 1960,
making his home in Drumheller, AB for 34 years. He later moved to Salmon Arm,
B.C. in 1994, where he had been residing until his passing. Frank worked for CN
Rail for 27 years, from 1961 - 1988, retiring at age 61 years. Family and
friends will miss Frank’s overwhelming generosity, jovial nature, helpfulness
and friendly spirit. He enjoyed fishing at the lake, gardening and helping his
neighbours any way he could.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria, of Salmon Arm, B.C.; children Barbara (Alex) of Drumheller, AB and Bill (Linda) of Salmon Arm, B.C.; and grandchildren Tina, Michael, Sharla and Daniel. He was predeceased by his son, Jerry. The family sends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital and Vernon and Kamloops Hospitals, for their special care and compassion. A graveside service was held on Monday, October 16, 2006, at Mt. Ida Cemetery in Salmon Arm, B.C. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. MARR: Deral Clifton
Deral Clifton Marr of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October
18, 2006, at the age of 77 years. He leaves to cherish his memory three
children, Bonnie (Gordon) Smith and Donna Hames (Charlie Costello) all of
Calgary and Sue (Cal) Hart of Fort Saskatchewan, their mother Jean (Mitch)
McLean of Calgary. He had a long 43 year career with AGT/Telus in Medicine Hat,
Drumheller and Red Deer. The funeral service was held in Westminister United
Church (101 - 6th Street S.E., Medicine Hat) on Saturday, October 21, 2006 with
Jane Clarke officiating. Interment followed in the Hillside Cemetery. As an

SCHWARZ: Erwin 1960 - 2006
Erwin Schwarz passed away October 13, 2006, surrounded by his family
at the Vancouver General Hospital. Born August 10, 1960, Erwin grew up in the
small hamlet of East Coulee, Alberta and moved to Victoria in 1992. He is
survived by his wife Sharlene (the special love of his life and best friend);
and beloved blended family, daughter Caitlin, son Riley, stepsons Parker and
Travis. Erwin also leaves behind a loving, caring mother Monica; sister Margaret
(Arnold); brothers Fred and Gerhard (Christl); mother-in-law Connie;
father-in-law Garry; sister-in-law Shelley (Bob) and many nieces, nephews, and
friends. Erwin is predeceased by his father - Friedrich Erwin. Erwin was an
extremely dedicated family man who took great pride, love and joy in his family.
His second love was his career as a professor at Camosun College where he was
loved and respected by his students and coworkers. Erwin will be missed by all
who knew him as he had a special way of touching their lives. Forever loved,
never forgotten, and fiercely missed!
