McGREGOR: Anthony
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father,
son and brother, Anthony McGregor, on October 17, 2006 at the Peter Lougheed
Hospital in Calgary. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Scott McGregor and wife
Tanya, and their children Katie and Ashli of Victoria; a daughter Tracey and
husband Dave Hill of Edmonton; his mother Gladys Conroy of Drumheller; sisters
Sharon Krawec (Tom) of Edmonton, Maryanne Pugh of Drumheller, Jane Huculak
(Paul) of Drumheller; and brother Joe Conroy and their families. He was
predeceased by his wife Margaret, a brother Michael and sister Rosalee. Funeral
services were held Saturday, October 21, 2006 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church
with Father Mario Basque officiating.

MORLOCK: Frances 1925 - 2006
Frances Georgina (Spielman) Morlock was born on November 22, 1925 in
Calgary, Alberta and departed on October 29, 2006 at the Drumheller Continuing
Care Unit. Frances was raised in Calgary and moved with her family to Byemoor
where she later met and married Ernest Morlock on March 21, 1946. She leaves to
mourn her daughter Sandra (Harlan) Avramenko of Olds, AB who were at her bedside
at her passing. She is also survived by her daughter Sharon (Vern) Daubert of
Beiseker, AB, four grandchildren; Dannette, Wanda, Troy and Marnie, four great
granddaughters, one brother; Cecil (Connie) Spielman of Kelowna, BC as well as
numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her husband, parents,
two sisters and three brothers. Frances’s last request was to be cremated with
no service held. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Chapel entrusted with arrangements.

TRENTHAM: Audrey 1923 - 2006
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear
wife, mother, grandma and great grandma on October 27, 2006 at the age of 83
years with her family at her side. Audrey will be lovingly remembered and
greatly missed by her husband of 63 years Harold, her children; son Dick and
daughter in law Marg, son Moe, daughter Laura and son in law Mike, her
grandchildren; Cory (Dwayne), Shantel, Mitch, Brad (Robin), Rich, Audrey
(Justin) and Vicki, great grandchildren; Caitlyn, Matt, Nevin, Nolia and
Emerson. Audrey was born on January 17, 1923 in the house that she would live in
for the next 81 years. She would raise her children and live her married life
there until she and Harold moved to the Sunshine Lodge in July 2005. Gram we
will cherish the memories; the flannel nighties, great meals, sleepovers, tea,
and the “best toast in the world”. We will miss your great sense of humor and
the love that you gave each of us. Audrey will be dearly missed by the Sunbeam
Community Society in which she actively served since 1949. She also enjoyed a
good game of Canasta on Wednesday nights with the community ladies. Audrey was
predeceased by an infant brother, mother, father, and brother Doug Grenville.
Funeral Services for Audrey were held Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 2:00 P.M.
from the Morrin Community Hall, interment followed in the Morrin Cemetery. If
friends so desire memorial donations may be made in memory of Audrey to the
Sunshine Lodge, 698-6th Avenue East, Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y5.

WATERS: William Richard 1925 - 2006
Bill passed away peacefully on October 30, 2006 in Drumheller at the
age of 81 years. He was born in Drumheller on August 19, 1925 and was the fourth
of seven children born to E. Harvey and Isabella Waters. Bill was raised on the
family farm near Morrin. He received his education at Morrin School, later
attending SAIT in Calgary. He later took over the family farm where he resided
until retirement. He married the love of his life, Laura, on January 17, 1951
and together they raised three children. Family and farming were his life. He
enjoyed gardening, music, and especially enjoyed traveling and meeting new
friends.
He was a great community man, serving on council for the M.D. of Starland for 17 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Cub Scout Leader, school bus driver, helper with many Church building projects, and active member of Sod House Board. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Laura, of 55 years, sons; Harvey (Marylyn), Trevor (Beverly), daughter Merridy (Terry), and seven grandchildren; Rhonda (Thomas), Katie, Laura, Brendan (Kelly), Nathan, James (Cheryl), Chris, and great grandson Terry William. Additional family members are sisters; Anne of Vancouver, Mary (Roger) Pearson of Delia, brothers; Sam (Anne) of Qualicum Beach, BC and Jim of Victoria, BC, brother in law Bernard (JoAnne) Dougherty of Calgary, AB and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on November 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Morrin Community Hall, Morrin, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Morrin United Church, Box 104, Morrin, AB, T0J 2B0 or to the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre, 351-9th Street NW, Drumheller, AB, T0J 0Y1.
