McMAHON: John Watson
John Watson McMahon, passed away at the Drumheller Nursing Home on May 15, 2006,
at the age of 95 years. John will be lovingly remembered by his children Judy
(Bob) Nelson of Dalum, Donna (Larry) Skaalrup of Airdrie, Hugh (Carol) McMahon
of Calgary, Jimmy (Betty) McMahon of Abbotsford, B.C., and Darwin McMahon of
Kamloops, B.C.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also
survived by brother Bob McMahon, and sister May Garnett from California, U.S.A.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Helen, and brothers Tom, Bill and
George, and sisters Chris and Liz. By John's request there will be no service.
John was a WWII veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung
or Cancer Society.

PELLETIER: Joseph (Joe) 1934 - 2006
The family announces with sorrow his death at his residence, on Wednesday, May
17, 2006 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Denis and Eva (nee Soucy)
Pelletier. Cherished husband of Georgina (nee McLeod) of Nipissing Indian
Reserve. Loving father of Laura Pelletier (Ron Rooke) and George Pelletier both
of Ottawa. Dear brother of Jeannine Cyr (Alphée), Armand (Berthild) both of St.
Basile, N.B., and Henry (Noella) of St. Jacques, N.B. Predeceased by his sister
Anna Grenier McGregor, and by his brother, Romeo (Mariette of St. Basile, N.B.).
He will be sadly missed by his darling little cat Snowball. Joe led a life of
Honor, honesty, and integrity and loved being on Nipissing Indian Reserve and
all the wonderful friendships and family he enjoyed. He joined the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police in 1955, graduated May 10, 1955 and retired 23 years
later. He then was hired on at Canada Customs in Montreal, to 1981, when he took
a position in Ottawa as Internal Investigator with Internal Affairs until he
retired in 1991. He also loved Arizona where he returned during his illness one
last time and saw all his friends and the beautiful desert and mountains,
especially Superstition Mountain. This was Joe¹s last wish. He is now content,
thanks be to God the Creator. Joe is now on his journey and will cross the river
and will re-unite with all those who went before him, no more pain and
suffering, only happiness and great beauty not ever imaginable. The family
received relatives and friends at Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon
Falls, on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Reverend Father Raymond Sullivan celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial, at
Holy Spirit Church, Garden Village on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Ashes
to be intered in Regina, SK, at the R.C.M.P. Cemetery. In memory of Mr.
Pelletier, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.

THOMSON: Joyce May (Ferrey) 1925 - 2006
Joyce passed away peacefully on May 18, 2006 at the age of 81 surrounded by her
loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Calgary
April 1925 she lived in Canmore and Drumheller, then in 1960 she moved with her
family to Grande Prairie. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by
Angus her husband of 37 years; daughters Bev (Allen) Webber of Sherwood Park,
Jan (Bill) Smith of Sicamous; and son Ron (Gwen) Ferrey of Sylvan Lake; six
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; cousin May Riva of Canmore and special
friends Betty Oltman and Margot Thomson. Joyce was a member of the Ladies Aux.
for A.N.A. Veterans Club and life time member of the Royal Purple. After
retiring from Telus, Mom spent her time gardening, cooking, knitting and
continually supplying family and friends with home preserves and her special
cheese bread. At Mom¹s request there will be no funeral service rather a family
gathering will take place at her most loved Three Sister Mountains in Canmore
where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The
