CHIARIERI: Adelina  1906 - 2006

Adelina went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 14, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Adelina was born in Acciano, Italy and immigrated to Drumheller in 1925. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mary (Charles) Boughton and her sister Josephine Guidolin. As well as her grandchildren: Kenneth (Wendy Lynne), William (Iona), Lynn (Darcy); and six great-grandchildren: Adrianna, Danielle, Tegan, Keenan, Dacia, Daylee. Adelina was predeceased by her husband, Charlie and her son Geno. Relatives and friends are invited to prayers at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Drumheller, Alberta, Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 7:00 PM. Prior to prayers there will be a public visitation from 6:00 PM. to 6:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Drumheller Municipal Cemetery. Reception to follow at St. Anthony's Parish Hall. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.   

CUNNINGHAM: Neil John Rodrick

With sadness we announce the passing of Neil Cunningham, (son of William and Mary Jane Cunningham) of Edmonton, formerly of Drumheller, on May 13, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Neil is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Frances, his brother Donald (Flora) of Rosedale and sister Yvonne 'Dude' Larsen of Calgary also their special friend Pat Roshko and many nieces and nephews. Neil was predeceased by two brothers and a sister. Prayers and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Parish, Edmonton, pm Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 PM with Father Leo Floyd officiating. HODGSON: Helen Marguerite  1914 - 2006

Helen Marguerite Hodgson passed away peacefully in Drumheller Hospital on May 7, 2006 at the age of 92 years. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas (Nick) and is survived by her sons, Nick (Norma) and Garry (Gloria) and grandsons, Dwayne (Cathy) and Michael and great-granddaughters, Laura, Lindsay and Cayley. Helen was born on May 1, 1914 in Bristol, New Brunswick. She came from a big family and loved to listen to her mother and later Aunt Mattie and cousin Norma play the piano. She also enjoyed bingo and could be counted on to win the 'turkey bingo' for either Christmas or Easter. In 1934 Helen married Nicholas (Nick) Newby Hodgson and together they farmed in the Morrin district until Nickšs death in 1973. Shortly after that, she moved briefly to Drumheller and then settled in Morrin, where she lived for 16 years. She then became a resident of the Sunshine Lodge in Drumheller, where she especially enjoyed her friends, her card games and bingo. Helen's family wishes to commend the Sunshine Lodge for its fine care and for providing Helen with such a wonderful quality of life, which certainly contributed to her longevity. Many thanks to the Sunshine Lodge staff. Helenšs final days were spent in Drumheller Hospital. Her family also wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the Acute and Palliative Care Units, Dr. E.M. Racz, the Home Care staff, and volunteers for their much appreciated kindness and compassion. At Helenšs request, there will be no formal service following cremation, and her ashes will be placed beside her husband. A tea in Helenšs honour will be held for family and friends at the Sunshine Lodge May 25, 2006 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly, in Helen's memory, to a charity of one's choice.

JUSTUS: Howard Earl  September 22, 1936 - May 11, 2006

Howard Earl Justus passed peacefully after a brief struggle with cancer. Howard is survived by brothers Allen and Harvey; sisters Phyllis and Samaya;
wife Elizabeth; daughters Sylvia, Sheila, Barbara and Amber; and seven grandchildren. Howard will be remembered by his family and friends for his
generous and fun loving nature. A memorial service will be held on May 19, 2006 at 2 PM at East Coulee Assn. Hall. No flowers by request.

SCHOW: James Christian

James (Jim), beloved husband of 'Beth' Schow passed away suddenly in Black Diamond, AB on May 12, 2006. He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Beth), Black Diamond, AB; twin sister Jean McLaughlin, Calgary, AB; daughter Kathleen (Kevin) Stapleton, Yellowknife, NT; daughter Barbara (Brian) Boldt, Enterprise, NT; son Rick (Joann) Schow, Munson, AB; step-daughter Kathy (Jens) Nyboe, Black Diamond, AB; and step-son Brian Toliver, Red Deer, AB; and foster-daughter Corinna (Albert) Patton, Half Moon Bay, B.C. Jim leaves eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous extended family, nieces and nephews.
