AULD: Julie  1919 - 2006

Julie Auld (Marchuk) passed away on February 27th, 2006 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her only beloved son, Gerald Wayne in 1964; her loving husband John Miller Auld in 1990; her parents, John and Mary Marchuk; and her youngest sister, Rose Kidd, she is survived by one sister, Anne Kineshanko of Enderby, B.C. and seven Nieces and Nephews including her special Niece and friend, Kathy Teillet of Winnipeg. Her Close friend and
adoptive daughter Deborah Hardie of East Coulee, AB, her daughters and families.  Julie, who was born in Bienfait, Saskatchewan on February 20th, 1919, attended Lignite Public School in Bienfait and married John Auld in Estevan, Saskatchewan on May 16th, 1942. She came to East Coulee with her husband and son in 1948 and remained a resident of the Drumheller valley until her passing.  Her friendly nature made her well known and well liked in the valley, which was shown in her many life long friendships. She was employed at various business places over the years. In 1972, she accepted a job at Century Coal Ltd. and managed the East Coulee end of the business until her retirement in 1984.

At Julie's request, a small memorial service was held following her cremation. She was laid to rest beside her dear son and husband in the Drumheller Cemetery. BACON: George Robert  1921 - 2006

George Robert Bacon was born December 18, 1921 at Hesketh, Alberta, and passed away peacefully at Continuing Care in Drumheller March 2, 2006. George grew up in the Hesketh-Carbon area. George worked for Canadian Western Natural Gas at the Sharples Plant as a compressor mechanic for 15 years until his retirement in December 1986. George is survived by his wife Anne of 47 years; his two sons, Jim (Kathy) and Alec (Audrey); his sister Pat; grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the loving care and support George received while in Continuing Care.

GRAHAM: Grace Catherine  October 10, 1936 - March 5, 2006

Grace Graham passed away peacefully on March 5, 2006 with her dearly loved husband and two children at her side.  She was our dear wife, mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Grace was born October 10, 1936 at Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and passed away in Hanna, Alberta on March 5, 2006. She is survived by her beloved husband Lorne of 50 years; daughters Shirley Greer and Bernadine (Brenda) Fox, as well as son Cameron (Tammy); her grandchildren Jodie, Stacey, Tamara, and Nathan Greer; Daphne Graham and Wendy Gyoker; Colby and Connor Graham; and great grandchildren Kendra, Kaylea and Chloe Greer.  She also leaves to mourn her sister Joan Dimmock (Jack) and family and her half sister Rhea Cole and family.  She is also loved and missed by brother-in-law Cliff Graham (Margaret) and family; sisters-in-law Jean Caron and family and Helen Mickey and family.  Grace was pre-deceased by her parents Arthur and Alberta (Babe) Halliday, son Kenneth Graham, brothers-in-law Art Mickey and Fred Caron; as well as son-in-law Bob Greer.

Grace's talents crossed over many fields of interest.  Grace worked side by side with Lorne to make their life long farming dream a reality.  She could and would do varied jobs on the farm from pitching hay to combining grain to cooking harvest meals.  Her artistic talents included but were never limited to:  knitting, crocheting, painting, canning, baking, sewing; as well as playing the violin.  She decorated many 'wedding cakes' for neighborhood weddings as well as silk flower arrangements for these and other occasions. She enjoyed gardening and had a love for animals.  She could ride a horse and tractor well.  Grace was a lifetime member of the Delia Royal Purple. A funeral service will be held at the Delia Community Hall on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2:00 pm.  If friends and family so desire donations may be made directly to Hanna Continuing Care, P.O.
