BURNS: Nancy  February 12, 1932 - July 18, 2006

Mom went to be with her Creator peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2006 with her loving family by her side. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her loving and devoted companion, Harry; her six children, Maryanne, Penny (Lorne), Connie (Charles), Pat (Brad), Frank (Darlene), Richard (Debra); as well as 19 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; also her loving brother Lawrence (Sandy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life was held on July 21, 2006 at the L.D.S. Branch in Drumheller. MAXWELL: Annie  1938 - 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of Annie Maxwell “Best Mom in the World” passed away peacefully in the Drumheller Hospital. Annie died July 24, 2006 at the age of 68 years old. Annie was predeceased by her husband of 48 years in May of 2006. Annie is survived by his children Bill (Margit), Robert (Lenna), Laurie (Tom), and Lorne; as well as 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Our Mom, our children’s Grandma, was there for every moment in all our lives - she never questioned why, she was just there. We will miss her every minute of every day. Annie is survived by her sister Jeanette (Helge) and one brother Albert (Judy) along with their families. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Grace Community Church, 1012 - 12 Ave. S.E., Drumheller, AB at 2:00 PM. PEARSON: Anthony “Tony” Carter  1925 - 2006

Born November 21, 1925, passed away in the Drumheller Nursing Home, July 17, 2006, at 80 years. Tony was born in the Delia area. He took all of his schooling at Enterprise Valley and Michichi, before going to the Technical Institute in Calgary where he received his motor vehicle mechanic certificate. He worked at E.O. Parry in Morrin and Rumsey, Alberta and met and married Julia Helen Marion Deeprose of Morrin on September 17, 1949 in Drumheller. They lived for a brief time in Rumsey and Morrin, before moving to Rockyford in 1952. Tony worked with Rieger’s Machine Shop in Rockyford as a jack of all trades mechanic for numerous years and could repair any piece of equipment given to him. He went on many trail rides in the Ya-ha-tinda region of western Alberta along with several friends, and was a renowned camp cook, as well as an avid hunter. Tony had a serious stroke in February of 2003, and spent time in the Foothills (Calgary) and Strathmore Hosptials, until being placed in the Drumheller Nursing Home, where he remained for the rest of his life. He is survived by one brother, Roger (Mary) Pearson of Delia, Alberta; two nephews, two nieces and their families; three cousins, David, Don and Lindsay Deeprose and their families; and lifetime friends Jacquie and Ernie Goddard of Rumsey and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Marion (November 1997); his parents, Ernest and Ethel Pearson; sister Doris; brothers Henry and David (Jean). Interment was held July 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Mountain Memorial Gardens east of Calgary on Highway 1A. A funeral service was held at Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home in Drumheller, Alberta on July 21, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home of Drumheller entrusted with arrangements. STRUBLE:  Harry Howard   Born June 26, 1926

Harry, a long time resident of the Hanna, Drumheller area, passed away on July 21, 2006 in Drumheller. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois, his parents, Harry and Bessie Struble and his brother, John Albert Struble. He is survived by his two sisters, Nellie (Wardlow) of Mayerthorpe and Florence (Newsham) of New Westminster B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was raised on the family farm, south of Hanna. He took over from his parents in 1956 and continued to farm there until 1967. He farmed briefly near Olds, then tried his hand at Real Estate in the Calgary area, where he met and married Lois. They moved to her family ranch in Montana in the mid 1970’s. After her death, he went to college in Great Falls and returned to Canada in the mid eighties. In later years, he lived and worked around southern Alberta working in the agricultural industry. Harry will be missed by his many friends and family members. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all. A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Drumheller on July 28th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association if you so wish.
