BOHNERT: William Carl July 13, 1939 - January 17, 2006
Willie Bohnert of Drumheller passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the
Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 66 years. Willie is lovingly remembered
by his wife, Sheila, family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Wilma
in 1971, and his father Charlie in 1973. He is survived by his wife Sheila;
sisters Ellen (Paul) Mentzel of Rebera, New Mexico, Mary LeBeau of Rochester,
AB, Carol (Ken) Bedell of Nanaimo, B.C., Betty (Clifford) Larsen of Standard,
AB; and his brother Karl Bohnert of Edmonton, AB. Willie grew up in Redland,
worked for several years in Rockyford and settled in Drumheller where he married
Sheila. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, enriched
each other's lives and enjoyed several happy years together. Many people will
remember meeting Willie while he walked downtown to shop or just visit. He was a
kind man who loved his woodworking projects and his garden. A memorial service
was held January 21, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,
1455 - 4 Ave. N.W., Drumheller. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be
made directly to the charity of your choice.

CALON: Louise Frances 1930 - 2006
After a difficult battle at the Peter Lougheed ICU, and despite tremendous
efforts from the staff, Louise Calon passed away peacefully on January 18, 2006.
Louise was born on August 30, 1930 in Calgary, the first born child of Bill and
Sally Grant. Seven years after her arrival, her beloved brother, Pat, was born.
Louise graduated from St. Maryıs High School in 1948 and went on to the
University of Calgary to become a teacher. She married Frank in 1954, and very
quickly this city girl embraced a new life on a farm northeast of Drumheller in
the Michichi area. Here, Frank and Louise raised seven children in a house full
of love and laughter (and pets). Louise was always known for her enthusiastic
charming wit, her kindness and generosity to family and friends, her love of
music and reading, and her unfailing belief in God and the power of prayer.
Louise leaves behind, Frank, her husband of 51 years, and her children, Kathleen
Diggens (Brad), Danny Calon (Janne), JoAnne Zebedee, Patty Calon, Connie Cabrera
(Dan), Wendy Dyck (Tim), and Mary Dommasch (Aaron), as well as thirteen
grandchildren. A memorial funeral mass was celebrated for Louise in Drumheller
at St. Anthonyıs Church on January 23 at 11 a.m. Donations in her memory may be
made payable to the Calgary Health Trust noting that the funds are in support of
the ICU at the PLC-Address: Room 1032, Peter Lougheed Centre, 3500 - 26 Ave.

SANDUM: Helen 1938 - 2006
Helen Sandum (nee Sakundiak), beloved wife of Gordon Sandum, passed away January
16, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Helen will be
greatly missed by her husband of 46 years and her children, Donna (Darryl) and
Alvin (Kim); and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Justin, Ciara and
Wacy. Helen was born in Medicine Hat on January 31, 1938. Two years later,
December 1940, her mother passed away, she lived with relatives until she
attended the Father Lacombe Convent school which she attended until grade six.
She completed her schooling in Hussar and attended Business School in Calgary
until she married Gordon on June 25, 1959. They continued to live and farm in
the Duck Lake area. Helen loved curling, bowling and especially loved camping
each summer at Pine Lake. She had a wonderful sense of humour, enjoyed her music
and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen always had time to visit,
had a great big heart, and considered her friends as extended family. Funeral
Services were held on January 24, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Hussar Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Drumheller Health Centre for
