ALLARD: Pearl Marie  1922 - 2006

Pearl Marie Allard passed away peacefully at St. Maryıs Hospital in Camrose, Alberta on February 6, 2006.  She was 83 years of age.  Pearl was born in Marlboro, Alberta on December 25, 1922. Pearl is survived by Marcel, her husband of 60 years, two daughters,  Marie (Lawrence)  Leis and Lavonne (Ron) Lumb, one son, Doug, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Pearl was predeceased by two sons, Kevin and Lindsay, and her parents, Hazel and Morris Herling. Pearl and Marcel resided in Drumheller for over fifty years prior to moving to Camrose in 1998. In her younger years Pearl was an active member of the Drumheller Legion, serving on the executive of the Women's Auxiliary for several terms. As a caring, concerned person, Pearl enjoyed the 17 years that she worked with children with disabilities.  Often times she would bring the children to her home to share special occasions such as Christmas. Pearl will be greatly missed by her family and friends. JERVIS: Iva May (nee Morgan)  November 6, 1914 -  January 30, 2006

Born to Lilian and Clinton Morgan at Zenith (Botha) on November 6, 1914 our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Iva Jervis of Morrin,
Alberta passed away on January 30, 2006 at the age of 91 years. Iva Jervis is survived by her children Art (Doreen) Jervis of Linden, AB; Shirley (Harry) Deveau of Calgary, AB; Vivian (Larry) Jervis of Fort Langley, BC; Ed (Trina) Jervis of Red Deer, AB and Marie (Jerry) Koustrup of Drumheller, AB.  Iva also had ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She liked to garden and took great pride in raising turkeys. Iva was predeceased by her husband Harold, son Allen and daughter Rosella; her parents, sisters Helen, Clara and Nora, brother Howard, twins Clinton and Clarence and two grandchildren. LOWEN: Ralph  Edgar  Jan. 13, 1919 ­ Feb. 11, 2006

Ralph Edgar Lowen passed away peacefully with the company of his family on February 11, 2006 at the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre. Ralph was born in Nacmine, January 13, 1919 to E.T. (Jack) and Mary Lowen and raised on the J-L Ranch in the Horseshoe Canyon District.  Ralph volunteered for armed services along with his father and three brothers in 1940.  In 1941 Ralph departed with the 3rd Division Field Par RCOC Unit for
overseas.  He was later transferred to the 4th Division Field Park OC. Ralph returned home in 1945.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion
Branch 22 from then on.  In 1956 Ralph married Louisa McKee and together they farmed SW of Drumheller. Ralphıs life involved his family and the outdoors.  He was an avid Big Game hunter and fisherman.  His heart was in Rodeo as a competitor, builder and supporter.  He was a member of the Red Deer River Roping Club and the Foothills Cowboy Association.  Ralph was a part of the original Drumheller Exhibition and Stampede Organization and contributed to the beginning of the present facility.  Ralph loved horses, Hereford cattle and his dogs.  He loved haying season and could not wait to get started on Highway 9. Ralph was predeceased by his Father E.T. (Jack), Mother Mary and Brothers John, Jack, Thomas and Kenneth. He is survived by his loving wife Louisa of 49 1/2 years; children:  Judy & Doug Goodine and their children Kayley and Cole; Cindy & Bruce Groeneveld and their children Stacey, Codey and Krista; Doug & Laura Lowen and their children Courtney, Carter and Cagney.  Three sisters:  Barbara & Ray Coats and family of Graham , Washington; Gwen & Buzz Cassidy and family of Stettler, Alberta; Betty Lowen of Big Valley, Alberta and family; One brother:  Christopher & Viola Lowen and family of Drumheller, Alberta; Sister-in-Law: Kathleen Lowen of Drumheller, Alberta and family; Howard & Joy McKee of Drumheller and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins near and far. STEWARD: Mary Evelyn  1909 - 2006

Mary Evelyn Steward was born in Edmonton, AB on December 1, 1909 and passed away on February 5, 2006 at the Coronation Extended Care Centre with her family at her side. Mum married Cyril Steward on May 24, 1933 and they had four children - Margaret Boldt, Bob (Darleen) Steward, Rose (Lindsay) Hay and Joyce (Eugene) Snyder. The folks homesteaded in the Peace River area later movng to the Cassell Hill and Michichi area. They later purchased a farm at Hesketh, AB and lived there until they retired to Drumheller. Mum taught school at Cassell Hill, Lennox and substituted for a short time at Hesketh. Mum was active in the Fellowship Baptist Church and she and another lady of the Church started the Ladies Mission Circle and she taught Sunday School as well. Mum always found time to help others, especially the family. When there was a problem she and Dad were always there to help out. She also found the time to help us and the grandchildren learn how to bake, crochet, knit and cook. No one ever left their house hungry. Mum was predeceased by her brothers - John, Dawson and Steven and her brother-in-law Sam Leckie. She is survived by her sister Robena Leckie and her sister-in-law Elsie Dart. A memorial service was held at the Fellowship Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 with Reverend David Plant officiating. Interment was in the Drumheller Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Sunshine Lodge or the charity of their choice. Courtney-Winterıs Funeral Home were in care of arrangements.
