GLOVER: Myrtle 1913 - 2006
It is with sadness that the family of Myrtle Glover (nee Haner) announces her
passing on April 16, 2006. Myrtle is lovingly survived by her son Robert and his
children Christal and Christopher and her daughter Patricia (Robert) Kruger &
their children Cheryl, Audra, Craig, and Shane. Myrtle was predeceased by her
husband Elmer and her brothers and sisters. Interment will take place in
Wainwright, Alberta on April 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements
entrusted to Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel.

MORGAN: Earl Wesley 1922 - 2006
Earl Morgan was born in the Three Hills area on May 31, 1922, and passed away
peacefully on April 6, 2006 at the Three Hills Health Care Centre. He took his
schooling in the area and was active in many sports, baseball being his
favourite, and he played and later coached for many years. Enlisting in
the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941, he spent the latter part of WWII in
England and Europe. He married Gladys Mancell in 1942, and upon his discharge
from service in 1945, they purchased the land he was still living on at the time
of his passing. At 12, he had learned to play the guitar, and later the piano,
saxophone, banjo, and violin and began his music career with his mother and
brother, playing for many local dances. Forming his own family band when his
children were old enough to play, 'The Morganaires' entertained far and wide for
many years. He also enjoyed being a part of 'Five plus One,' another local
band, which he continued to entertain with until shortly before his passing.
Predeceased by his wife Gladys, his parents, brothers, four sisters, and one
grandson. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his children, Ken
(Florence), Sharon, Dale (Cindy), Susan (Ken) Guttridge, and Diana (Brian)
Bertram; his very dear friend, Elma Scott, his sister, Lavonne Tomkinson;
fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and
nephews and countless friends. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, April 10,
2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knox United Church, Three Hills, AB. Condolences to the

SCHABER: Doris (nee Casebeer) 1916 - 2006
Doris Schaber of Drumheller passed away peacefully in the Drumheller Hospital at
the age of 90 years on April 3, 2006 to be with her beloved Ervin, her earthly
duties completed. She is survived by her son Edward (Ivadell) Schaber of
Provost; her daughter Evelyn (Herb) Wittchen of Drumheller; three grandsons:
Clay (Catherine) Wittchen of Mt. Isa, Queensland, Australia; Tracy (Denise)
Wittchen of Calgary; Grant (Catherine) Schaber of Medicine Hat; four
great-grandsons: Perry and Branden Wittchen of Australia, Matt and Ben of
Medicine Hat. Two sisters: Mary Emmert of Sweet Home, Oregon; Marjorie (Ralph)
Cosens of Edmonton; sister-in-law Erika Casebeer of Didsbury; and numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris was predeceased by her husband Ervin of 63
years; an infant daughter Diane; her parents Henry and Velina Casebeer; grandson
Mark Schaber; two
sisters Freda Shearer and husband John, Kathleen Franklin and husband Willard;
only brother Louis Casebeer and brother-in-law Ralph Emmert. Doris was born at
Morrin on March 10, 1916 and attended school at Sunbeam. On November 8, 1940 she
married Ervin Schaber. They farmed in the Morrin district before moving to North
Drumheller in 1946 and then to Bankview in 1949 to the home in which she still
resided. Doris' greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren and
later great-grandchildren. She used to tell her grandsons, 'I have four corners
in my heart, one corner for each of you.' Doris loved to travel and took
numerous trips across Canada, U.S.A., Mexico and over to Hawaii with Ervin. A
memorial service was held at the Midland Community Hall on April 8, 2006, Pastor
Harold Hunter presiding. Donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S., 1441 Aviation Park
N.E., Box 570, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7. Personal Alternative Funeral Services were
in charge of arrangements.

VICKERS: Esther
Esther Vickers passed away April 15, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by
her parents, husband Fred, several sisters and brothers. She is survived by her
three children; Keith Vickers (Sheila) of Brooks, Gail Vickers (Doug) of
Medicine Hat and Marilyn Christensen (Harley) of Drumheller; numerous grand and
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as three sisters, all in
Kelowna, B.C.; Verna Wasman (Leo), Louise Jacobi (Al), and Darlene Davy. Esther
Findlay married Fred Vickers in January of 1936 and farmed many years in the
Churchill and Horseshoe Canyon areas. In later years, they homesteaded in the
Peace River area. She took pride in promoting Drumheller tourism in the making
and selling of dinosaur ornaments, many of which went to all areas of the world.
Esther worked as a waitress, for many years, in many of the restaurants in the
Valley. She travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S., first with her
father, then later with her husband. She played Bingo throughout the Valley,
through which she acquired many friendships. Esther lived her last five years at
the Sunshine Lodge, where she spent many enjoyable hours and days with the staff
and residents. She will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 21, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. at
Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel.
