Bossert: Phillip

Phillip passed away suddenly on September 20, 2005 at the age of 58 years. He will be survived by his common-law spouse, Helen Hatch; children Vern (Ann), Jackie, Roxanne (Chris) Gosse, Allan, Karen and Roxann (Chuck); as well as many grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Orvin (Judy); two sisters, Lucy (Elmer) and Lora; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Phil was predeceased by his wife Junita, his parents and a brother, Roy. A private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association. Bullen: Margaret (Lawrence)  1923 - 2005

Margaret was born January 12, 1923 in Drumheller and passed away September 19, 2005 in Nanaimo, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2002. Also, her mother and father, William and Mae Lawrence. She leaves to mourn, her daughter Maureen (Bruce) Archer; grandchildren Gregory, Brooke and Madison; son James Bullen; sister Eileen Smith (Jim Kirby); brother Gilbert Lawrence (Ruby Burka). Margaret received her nursing training in Ponoka and then worked in Drumheller Hospital from 1946 - 1971. The family then moved to Duncan, B.C. where she enjoyed her gardening, bowling and golfing. Goodwin: Gary   December 11, 1934 - September 22, 2005

Gary Goodwin passed away suddenly at his home in Morrin, Alberta on September 22, 2005. He is survived by his children: John (Alma) of Red Deer, AB, Bob (Barbara) of Calgary, AB, Trish of Edmonton, Andrea (Scott) of Calgary, AB and Chris (Christine) of Calgary, AB; his grandchildren: Megan of Toronto, ON, Jeneveve, Kaitlin and Alex of Red Deer, AB, Shelby of Calgary, AB, Adam of Red Deer, AB, Robert and Joshua of Calgary, AB; and his great-grandson, Aries of Red Deer, AB. He is also survived by his step-children, Shannon, Jim, Farrell, Bill and Paula OšMalley (Goodwin), their families; and Shaun, Darren and Danielle Craig and their families; good friends, Kevin DeMille, Jason Wolfe and Rick Lindgren; and by his best friend and faithful companion, Smudge. Gary was predeceased by his daughter, Geraldine Lee; parents, Jack and Freda; his sister, Marguerite; and son, Darren. Gary was born and raised in and around Oak Lake, MB. After moving to Alberta in the late O60s, he was employed in the farming and road construction industries until he was hired on as a farm labourer for many years by Walter and Elisabeth Linder of Morrin until their move to B.C. He was well-known for his tomatoes (especially beef steak) and many shared in their harvest. He will be missed by his family and his many friends. As per Gary's request, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Courtney-Winter's Chapel with a reception to follow at the Morrin Hotel. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Luzyzyn: Mike
 

Mike Luzyzyn of East Coulee, passed away September 20, 2005 after recently being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Pauline, and his brothers John, Bill and Alex. He is survived by many friends. Mike was born in Wayne, but his heart was in East Coulee. This past summer he was acknowledged as one of East Couleešs longest residents. He was proud to have worked 30 hard years in the coal mines. A farewell service was held in East Coulee Hotel September 24, 2005. Memorial donations may be made to the Atlas Coal Mine Museum Historical Society, Box 521, East Coulee, AB  T0J 1B0. Montgomery: James Robert  1928 - 2005

Jimmie Montgomery passed away on September 20, 2005. Jimmie was born on February 9, 1928 in Drumheller and resided on his farm near Morrin, with his loving wife, Diana of 48 years, who predeceased him. Jimmie will be sadly missed by his children Brian (Susan), Gerald (Dorraine), and Kelly (Cindy) and by his grandchildren, Tim, Rick, Jennifer, Brett, Kyle and Evan. Jimmie was predeceased by his mother Emily, father Thomas and brother Vance (Clara). He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters, Eugene, Steve (Pat), Nancy, June, Agnes and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmie as a hard working farmer, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very dedicated to his family and will always be remembered for his strength and support. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, hockey and loved to follow his kids and grandchildren in all their sports and activities. Funeral services were held September 26, 2005 at the Morrin Community Centre at 1:30 P.M.
