Dodd: Nora  1913 - 2005

Nora Dodd passed away Monday, September 5, 2005 in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital at the age of 92 years. She was born at home near Botha, Alberta on June 27, 1913, the eldest child of Clinton and Lily Morgan. Nora and her husband Alvin farmed several years in the Springwater District north of Delia, Alberta after their marriage in 1939. They moved to the Grande Prairie area in 1964 and farmed north of Clairmont until their retirement in 1975. Upon retirement, Nora and Alvin moved into Grande Prairie. After Alvin's death, Nora lived a year in Pioneer Lodge and two years at the Grande Prairie Care Centre. Nora is survived by her four children Lorrain (Tom) Glendinning, Bernard, Russell (Mary), and Brian Dodd; ten grandchildren Geoff, Stephen (Marnie) and Kathy Glendinning, Laurie, Trevor (Bernadette), Mark, Elizabeth, Corey (Sherry), Danica and Derek Dodd. She is also survived by one sister Iva Jervis of Stettler, brother-in-law Archie Dodd of Red Deer, sister-in-law June Dodd of Drumheller, sister-in-law Ruth Dodd of Olds, daughter-in-law Pat Dodd and several nieces and nephews. Nora was predeceased by her husband Alvin in August 2001, her parents Clinton and Lily Morgan, two sisters Clara Morgan and Helen Hart, brothers Howard, Clarence and Clinton, daughter-in-law Janet Dodd of Sexsmith and several nieces and nephews. A funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Clairmont United Church with Pastor Mary Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow at the Emerson Trail Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation. Farmer: Dorothy Irene  1938 - 2005

Dorothy Irene Farmer passed away on September 6, 2005 at the age of 67 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Glen and his wife Lora and her two precious grandchildren, Taylor and Jackson, her best friend Ken Griffin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. Her parents Wilfred and Rihle, her daughter Shannon, brothers Vern, Babe and Frank, three grandchildren Amanda Gross, Mackenzie and Garrison Farmer, preceased Dorothy. Dorothy was born in Bassano, AB on May 29, 1938, and then moved to Drumheller where she worked as a telephone operator and raised her family. For many years she also worked at the Drumheller Museum, which strengthened her love for the Valley. Dorothy loved to paint and craft. Attending to her flowers and watching them blossom always brightened her days. Services were held on September 12, 2005 at Courtney-Winter's Funeral  Chapel. Pastor James Clark officiated. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. If anyone so desires, donations can be made in Dorothy's name to the Drumheller Health Foundation towards the CT Scanner.

Keddy: Clifford Sr.  1925 - 2005

In loving memory of Clifford Keddy Sr., born November 8, 1925 in Enfield, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at Bethany Long Term Care, Camrose, Alberta at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his daughters Frances Hill (Melakie), Betty MacDonald (Forest), Winnie Byrt (Barry), and Kimberly Hill (Phil); son Clifford Keddy Jr. (Charlotte); 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Richardson: Carol (Lecuyer)  1945 - 2005

Carol Irene (Lecuyer) Richardson was born on June 26, 1945 in Drumheller, Alberta and passed away at the Stettler Hospital on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at the age of 60 years. Predeceased by her mother Lorna Irene Duncan; step-father Robert (Happy) Mepham; and brother Clinton Stanley Mepham; Carol is survived by her children, Brett (Helen) Lecuyer, Lauralee Lecuyer and Alanna Lecuyer (Ervin); step-father Jack Duncan; four brothers, Clifford Mepham, Blaine (Barbara) Mepham, Brad (Anita) Mepham and Ron (Wendy) Mepham; sister Arla Mepham; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends. Funeral services were held  on Friday, September 9, 2005 in the Heartland
Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta with Rev. Harold Hunter officiating. Special music selections recorded by Elvis Presley were played, 'Amazing Grace', 'How Great Thou Art' and 'There Will Be Peace In The Valley For Me'. Interment took place in the Lake View Cemetery, Stettler, Alberta near her mother. Following the service, family and friends gathered for a time of sharing and light refreshments prepared and served by Stettler Royal Purple.
