Almond:  Alice Pauline  1914 - 2005

A long time resident of Delia, Alice Pauline Almond, passed away at the Pincher Creek municipal hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1978, and is survived by daughters Pat (Herb) Ewing of Pincher Creek, Sharon (Leslie) Lanham of Calgary, and Mary (Douglas) Wilson of Calgary. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Hastings of Boise, Idaho and is the loving grandmother of six and great-grandmother of ten. Private Family Service to follow at a later date. Donations in memory of Alice may be made to the Alberta Lung Association.

Dyck: Henry  1932 - 2005

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Henry Dyck of Mirror, AB. He passed away peacefully in the Stettler Hospital on October 27, 2005 at the age of 73. Henry was born on September 3, 1932 at Clarkboro, SK. When Henry lived in Drumheller he was the founder of Rosedale Concrete and worked many hours cement finishing. He took pride in his work and believed a job worth doing was worth doing well. Henry was a true animal lover, from the horses he used to own at Wayne, AB, to the bird watching in Mirror, AB, to the feeding of a little stray cat. He always enjoyed inventing and tinkering with things. Henry semi-retired to Mirror, AB and left the family business to his sons. He was predeceased by his daughter Adele and his grandson Russel. He leaves to mourn Rod and Jill Dyck of Drumheller, AB; Tim and Wendy Dyck of Munson, AB; and Claudelle and Vic Hildenbrandt of Cloverdale, B.C. Also leaves his grandchildren Stephanie Dyck, Joseph Dyck, Travis Dyck, Bradley Hildenbrandt and Rhett Hildenbrandt. At Henry's request there will be no service.

Hamilton: McGregor I. (Mac)

Mac Hamilton, Morrin, Alberta, passed away peacefully at Drumheller Health Centre on October 25, 2005 after a brief battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn, his wife Arlene, daughter Colleena (Gregg) sons Kevin and John (Michelle); grandchildren, Sheena, (Corey), Sarah, Stacey, Matthew, Mitchell, Mary, Isaac and Stephanie, one great grandson Easton.  He is also survived by his mother Barbara, sisters Elizabeth (John), Gerry (Ron), Linda (Ron), brother, Lee (Janet); sister-in-law Shirley and many nieces and
nephews.  He was predeceased by his father Isaac and brother Lloyd. Graveside services were held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Sarcee Butte Cemetery followed with memorial services at Morrin Community Hall at 2:00 P.M..  Arrangements in care of SUNSET FUNERAL SERVICE Linden 403-546-3903.

Pierce: Thomas William  1918 - 2005

Thomas passed away on October 26, 2005. He is survived by three children, son Gary Pierce of Calgary; two daughters, Stella and Henry Dam of Calgary, and Marilyn and Dave Jorgensen of Drumheller; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his wife Jessie in September 2001, two brothers, Benjamin and Stanley, and one sister, Rhugene. Funeral services were held at Drumheller Knox United Church on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Pinkham: Peggy (nee Smith)  1927 - 2005

Mrs. Peggy (Susannah Margaret) Pinkham planned a trip departing November 2, 2005. She changed her destination on October 28 and went to join her late husband Ron instead. Born June 8, 1927 she resided in Drumheller for 78 years. She leaves joyful memories with her five children, Alan Pinkham of Drumheller, Judy (Ron) Petersen of Calgary, Rhonda (Darryl) Derouin of Red Deer, Susan (Ken) Sloan of Rocky Mountain House and Pinky (Allie) Molyneux of Drumheller. Besides raising five children, Peggy enjoyed working for many years at CJDV Radio Station and then Excelsior Furniture.

Ten (10) grandchildren and nineteen (19) great-grandchildren have kept her very busy at home and throughout the province with the family for the past 35 years. Peggy's long standing membership with Beta Sigma Phi and more recently, her involvement with the Pioneer Trail Centre, kept her busy in the community.

Friends are invited to commemorate and share with her family the celebration of Peggy's life at the Drumheller Knox United Church, November 2 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception (private family interment at the Drumheller Cemetery). The family wishes to extend very special thanks to Dr. Olfert for his care and attention to their mom throughout the years, the Drumheller Ambulance service for their caring consideration and the Drumheller Hospital nursing staff whose compassion and concern was greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
