Applegate: Stella B.  1913 - 2005

Stella B. Applegate, lifelong companion of Peter Christensen of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on November 13, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Stella will be lovingly remembered by; her son, Richard "Dick" (Gerri) Applegate and Daughter Mary Christensen, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Canada and Denmark, as well as one great-great-grandchild, long time friend Gladys Mackenzie and many other relatives and friends. She is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy (Joyce) Kirkeby and Gordie Kirkeby. Stella was predeceased by six siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bonavista Baptist Church (1507 Acadia Drive SE) on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. Avramenko: Victor  1936 - 2005

Victor Avramenko, beloved husband of Joyce Avramenko, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 10, 2005 with his loving family surrounding him. 

Victor was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He was employed by SAIT for thirty-five years. Victor had widespread interests.  He was a member of the East Coulee Mine Museum and East Coulee School Museum. He also held memberships at the Ukrainian Culture Centre, the Good Companions Seniorsı'Club and the Legion Branch #264.  Victor is survived by his wife of forty-eight years; his sons, Victor (Teresa), Terry (Linda) and David (Sandra); and his eight grandchildren, Vanessa, Leilynn, Adam, Randal, Sheiann, Nicole, Deighten, and Russell. He leaves to mourn siblings, George (Martha), Don (Marlene), Dolly (Albert), Kathy (Don), and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his brother, twin sisters, father and mother.

Jackson: Lynn  1936 - 2005

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lynn Jackson on November 7, 2005. Lynn was born in Alida, Saskatchewan on December 21, 1936 to Ed and Martha Jackson. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Cliff Jackson; grandson Jeremy; his parents, his brother Ken Jackson, and Ed and Carolyne's mom, Bonnie Smith. Lynn is survived by and leaves to mourn, his son Ed Jackson (Aileen); daughter Carolyne Ferko (Glen); his grandchildren Denise, Nikki, Monica, Sean, Darla, Travis, Danny, Brandon and Kyle; his brother Larry Jackson (Linda); sister-in-law Winnie Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lynn lived in Holyrood Extendicare in Edmonton for a number of years, and previously resided in Drumheller. Lynn was a loving Dad and Papa and enjoyed seeing his children and grandchildren any opportunity he could. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Memorial Service was held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Drumheller.
