Milton: Dorathea Helen (Headon)  1935 - 2005

Mrs. Dorathea Helen Milton (Headon) a longtime resident of Drumheller Valley passed away in Hanna on May 8, 2005 at the age of 70 years. She left us this Motheršs Day after a long battle with cancer, diabetes, and kidney failure. She fought till the bitter end, Dorathea passed away knowing that her devoted husband and many of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were by her side. Dorathea was born on January 27, 1935 to Jack and Mertle Bell Headon in Wainwright, Alberta. She married Ronald Stanley Milton, and together they had nine children. Dorathea leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 53 years, Ron; her nine children, Dennis (Roberta), Rhonda (Rick), Lorraine, Richard (Michele), Lenna (Rob), Laura (Neil), Ron (Laura), Don, DeAnna (Reg); 35 grandchidlren, 19 great grandchildren; sister Rhoda; brother Bill (Doreen); sister-in-law Lois; as well as numerous neices and nephews. Dorathea was predeceased by her parents Jack Headon 1956, Mertle Bell Headon 1968, two infant grandsons, Robert Yost 1973, Richard Yost 1975, and nephew Larry Milton. Funeral Service for Dorathea Milton will be held Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James Clarke officiating, interment to follow at the Drumheller Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Children's Hospital. Courtney-Winters Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.

Nimmo: Victoria

Mrs. Victoria Nimmo of Airdrie passed away on May 8th, 2005 in Airdrie at the age of 65 years. Victoria was born at Stoney Lake, Alberta to William and Martha Urichuk. She went to school in East Coulee and later moved to Calgary.  On June 30th, 1962 Victoria married Dan Nimmo.  The couple lived in various communities in Alberta.  They had three children, Deborah, Marie, and Robert. Victoria had the gift of hospitality, enjoying the company of her friends, cooking, and she also loved to camp, read novels and was passionate about her granddaughters. For the past five years Victoria has struggled with numerous medical concerns, but Victoria loved the Lord Jesus and we are comforted that she is resting peacefully with HIM. Victoria leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Dan, three children, Deborah (Norm) Wolfe of Fairview, Marie (Ken) Jessamine of Abbotsford, B.C., Robert (Leann) Nimmo of Drumheller, six granddaughters Danielle and Brittany Wolfe, Jocelyn and Jessica Jessamine, Skye and Mackenzie Nimmo. She is also survived by her brothers Orest, Walter, Roger and sister Audrey.  Victoria was predeceased by her twin brother Victor, brother Bill, and sister Mary. A celebration of Victoriašs life will be held at the Courtney-Winters Chapel of the Valley, Drumheller, at 1.30 P.M. on Friday, May 13th, 2005.  Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Straub: Beryl (McPhee)

Mrs. Beryl (McPhee) Straub of Rosedale passed away in Drumheller on May 7, 2005 at the age of 78 years.  A Celebration of Life will be held from Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home on Thursday May 12, 2005 at 2:00 P.M.. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Homes are entrusted with the arrangements.
