HILLGARDNER: Monica (Schaffer)

Monica Hillgardner passed away after a lengthy illness at the University Hospial in Edmonton on Saturday, March 26, 2005. Monica leaves to mourn her husband Gordon Hillgardner; one son Gordon Jr. (Carol); one daughter Vange Lawson (Richard); and one granddaughter Amanda Lawson, all of Edmonton. Monica was predeceased by her parents George and Monica Schaffer, and one brother, Brian. Also to mourn Monica¹s loss are brothers Pat Schaffer (Margaret) of Edmonton, George (Margaret) and Bill (Marion) Schaffer of Drumheller. A memorial service will be held in Edmonton, Thursday, March 31, 2005 at St. Andrew's Church, located at 156 Street and Meadowlark Road. For further information, please contact 823-2863.

HOUGHTON: Lorna Irene (nee Hatt)

It is with deep sadness that the family of Lorna Irene Houghton (nee Hatt) wishes to announce her passing.  Lorna was born on November 3rd, 1934 in Drumheller, Alberta and passed away on March 24th, 2005 at the age of 70 years.  She leaves to mourn, her devoted husband of 52 years, Vern and her two sons, Rob and Brent.  Along with the three greatest joys of her life, her grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria and Cole, all of Drumheller, she also leaves her two brothers, Jerry (Winnie) Hatt of Drumheller and Ken (Pat) Hatt of Rumsey and their families. Lorna was predeceased by her mother Ida in 1999 and her father August in 1967. Funeral services was held on Tuesday, March 29th at 1 pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Drumheller. If anyone wishes, donations may be made in Lorna's name to the Drumheller Cancer Centre. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Homes were in care of the arrangements.
