RIEGER: Verna

Verna Rieger of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Verna will be lovingly remembered by three daughters; Ann Moar of Red Deer, Diana (Dick) Killian of Blackfalds, and Mary David of Calgary; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves to mourn her loss, two brothers; Jim (Joyce) Kirkeby of Grande Cache and Gordon Kirkeby of Peace River, one sister, Stella (Peter) Applegate of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Juanita Bossert in 1998. Verna lived a very fulfilling life and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Those wishing to pay their respects to Verna Rieger did so at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Saturday, March 19, 2005 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Funeral services were held at the Knox United Church (195 - 3 Ave. E., Drumheller, AB) on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Jan Stevenson officiating. Interment followed at the Drumheller Cemetery.
