Muriel (Rowell) Byer passed away May 22, 2005 in Oliver, B.C. Interment will be
held later in the Morrin Cemetery.

Carlson: Peter April 1930 - May 2005
Peter passed away suddenly on May 8, 2005. He is greatly missed by his loving
wife Louise; son Chuck; daughters Barbara and Monica (Rob); and granddaughters
Kelsey and Whitney. According to Peteršs wishes, no funeral was held. Donations

Crowell: May Hannah 1913 - 2005
May Hannah Crowell of Drumheller, Alberta passed away on Saturday May 28, 2005
at the Drumheller Hospital at the age of 92 years. May was born April 4, 1913 in
Englehart, Ontario. She moved with her parents, Charlotte and Fred Jones to
Drumheller in 1914. May was employed for many years as a hair dresser. May
loved gardening, fishing and her cat and dog. May was predeceased by her husband
in September 1976. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral
Services will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Elim
Pentecostal Church with Reverend Dan Dannhauer officiating. Interment to follow
at the Drumheller Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made

Hunter: Jiffy (Wesley) 1935 - 2005
Jiffy (Wesley) Hunter passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with
cancer on May 30, 2005 at the age of 70 years. Jiffy is survived by his loving
wife Judy; daughters Linda (Bill) Wiggins, Donna (Frank) Kalman, Tammy (Doug)
Huene, all of Drumheller; and son Randy (Madeleine) Hunter of Red Deer;
grandchildren, Rhonda (Mike), Jeff, Troy (Toni), Megan, Tara, Tanya (Travis),
Tenille, Chad and Chase; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jaden, Morgan and McKenna.
Jiffy is survived by his siblings, Mabel Wayne, Muriel (Brian) Hole, Lorraine
(Doug) Stanger, Ken (Ethel) Hunter, Art (Dorothy) Hunter, Ron (Shirley) Hunter,
Reg (Butch) Hunter, and Harold (Amy) Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jiffy is predeceased by his parents Jock and Grace Hunter; brother Doug Hunter;
and great-grandchildren Tyler and Brandon Molyneux. Jiff was born in Michichi,
Alberta on May 27, 1935. He moved to Drumheller when he was a young teenager and
worked as a mechanic in numerous garages and retired as an Area Foreman for Pan
Canadian in 1992. His hobby throughout his years and up to his last days was
repairing small engines with a specialty known to everyone as the Lawnboy
Master. Jiffy and Judy enjoyed many retirement years in their motorhome, touring
and golfing in the States. Jiffy has touched many peoplešs hearts along the way
and will be sadly missed by all the people that knew him. His sense of humour
and quick wit will be sadly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at Knox United Church, Friday, June 3, 2005 at 2
p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Drumheller Heart to Heart
Society or the new CT Scan in memory of Jiffy (Wesley) Hunter.

Jensen: Carl Amery June 25, 1929 - May 23, 2005
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our
beloved husband, dad and grandpa, Carl. He passed away on May 23, 2005 at the
age of 75 years. He is survived by Lorraine, his loving and devoted wife of 53
years; two sons, Don (Gail) and Craig (Linda); a special daughter-in-law,
Cherryll; 12 grandchildren, Lainya, Jared, Ciara, Jason, Stacey, Grant, Bryce,
Sara, Alissa, Chelsey, Kristen and Garrett; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and
Jessica; his sister Mellia of Calgary; brothers, Ralph (Gladys) of Drumheller
and Wally (Joan) of Strathmore; brother-in-law Bill (Mary) of Strathmore; and
sisters-in-law, Theresa of
Strathmore and Arlyne of Big Valley, along with many nieces and nephews. Carl
was predeceased by his daughter Colleen, his two sons, Chris and Terry, his
great-grandson Justin and brothers-in-law Carl, Bernard and Irwin. Carl was born
in Standard, Alberta on June 25, 1929, the son of Walter and Julia Jensen. At
the age of three, his mother passed away and he went to live with his
grandparents, Tom and Bothilda Christensen. He attended Grasswold School from
grades one through eight, walking two miles to school in the winter and summer.
After completing his education he spent two years in the navy. In 1950 Carl
moved to Rockyford and accepted a job with Massey Harris and later International
Harvester. It was there in 1952 that he met his first and only love of his life,
his soulmate, Lorraine Hendricks. Terry, Colleen and Don were born while in
Rockyford. In 1956, they moved to Beiseker and started their own IHC dealership
there. While living in Beiseker, Chris and Craig were born. In 1961 Carl and his
family bought a farm near Rosebud where he and Lorraine stayed until 1993. They
retired to Rosebud, where friends and family were always welcome. He believed
that the best way to start each morning was with an "I love you", a kiss, and a
game or two of crib. He loved to play ball, to golf and to fish. Carl was also
an active Rosebud Lionšs Club member. He will be greatly missed by his family
and his wide circle of friends. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 28,
2005 at St. Ritašs Catholic Church, Rockyford, at 11 a.m. Interment at St.
Rita's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Heart

Simpson: George Gibson (Gibby)
George Gibson Simpson (Gibby) passed away, peacefully, on May 23, 2005, at 8:15
p.m. at the DRHC Pallative Care Unit at the age of 79. He leaves to mourn his
wife Vera of 60 years; son Bill of Nacmine; daughter Patricia of Calgary; sister
June of Drumheller. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tina (Trochu),
Billy Jr. Kash (Red Deer), Michael, David and Russell (Calgary), Tera (Ontario);
as well as three great-grandchildren, Natasha, Jamie and Avery; numerous nieces
and nephews. George was predeceased by his son Terry of Nacmine. George
worked in the mines at Nacmine and East Coulee for a number of years, later
moving his family to Calgary. He was employed at the U of C for 10 years, and
Richfield Building and Design up to his retirement in 1982. George enjoyed his
antique cars and working around his yard and garden. It is George's request that
no service be held. If desired, donations to the Pallative Care Unit DRH in his

Thompson: Joanne Edith (Lesoway)
Joanne Edith (Lesoway) Thompson passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in
Vancouver, B.C. on May 17, 2005 at the age of 36. Joanne grew up in Drumheller
attending Central School and later at D.C.H.S. She married and later moved to
Vancouver for the past eight years. Left to mourn are her mother and father
Connie and Peter Lesoway, David Lesoway, and special friend Bonnie Howton of
Drumheller; James Lesoway of Big Valley; her three children (Joey, Amanda, and
Jasmine) and many cousins and friends. Memorial Service will be held at a later
date for family and close friends.

Wynia: John Henry August 30, 1947 - May 23, 2005
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on May 23, 2005,
at the age of 57 years. John endured a long struggle with cardiac disease until
his final and peaceful sleep at a place he loved to be, our camping get-a-way
west of Caroline, Alberta. John was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle
who devoted his time to "his girls." helping Deb and volunteering when he could
with the Morrin Lions Club and the Morrin Fire Dept. He was proud that he
recently helped Terry and Troy "put the crop in." He was also very proud of the
accomplishments of his daughters, Corinna and Jenna and his soon-to-be
son-in-law, Lee. John recently had a special visit from his son, Jeremy, who
came from New Brunswick to spend time with his dad, sisters, and Deb. John loved
to visit with his many friends and family, and in recent months, his special
helpers with Home Care, Continuing Care, and Helping Hands. John is survived by
his devoted wife, Deb; his loving children, Corinna (Lee), Jenna, Jeremy,
Michael and Melony; his sisters, Theresa (Jim) Davidson, Anne Hyndman (Larry),
Shirley (Bill) Rodgers; his twin brother Dick (Dorothy); his brother-in-law,
Case deJong; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father,
Gerben (Pete), mother Aaltina (Tina), and sister Raelena, and his father-in-law,
Vern Riggs. He will be missed by all. Funeral Services were held on Friday, May
27 at the Morrin Community Hall. Johnšs final resting place is in the Morrin
Cemetery. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home have helped with final arrangements. In

or the Heart to Heart Program).
