Cronkhite: Stephen Allan May 1, 1966 - June 26,
2005
Born in Edmonton to Bob and Betty Cronkhite, Stephen was the youngest of five
children. He loved sports, music and camping. We lost him suddenly that Sunday,
but his memory will stay with us forever. He leaves behind two children, Corey
and Nicole of Drumheller; his sister Susanne (Stan); brothers David (Louella)
and Bob (Linda). He is predeceased by sister Bonnie (Dave) and father Bob
Cronkhite.Service was held Thursday, June 30 in Edmonton.

Petersen: Fern Marion 1916 - 2005
It is with great sadness that the family of Fern Marion Petersen announce her
passing at the Drumheller Health Centre on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at the age of
88 years. Fern was born in Mirror, AB on December 2, 1916 and came to Drumheller
in 1926. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Knud V. (Pete)
Petersen in 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lorraine
(Bill) Hunter; her son Don (Lynn) Petersen; three grandchildren, Tara (Paul)
Roett, Kirsten (Robert) Zimola, and Christopher Petersen; one
great-granddaughter, Kathryn (Katie) Roett; one sister, Thelma Barnhouse; and
numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Carl and
Kenneth Martin; three sisters, Beatrice Martin, Isabel McLean and Phyllis
Jensen. Funeral services were held Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Elim Pentecostal
Church, Pastor Daniel Dannhauer officiated. Interment followed at the Drumheller
Cemetery. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Sandberg: Lorna Doreen 1939 - 2005
Mrs. Lorna Doreen Sandberg, beloved wife of Mr. Neil Sandberg of Red Deer,
Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, July
11, 2005 at the age of 66 years. Lorna was born on May 18, 1939 at Drumheller,
Alberta. In 1960, Lorna married the love of her life, Neil Sandberg. They
spent a wonderful life together raising their family and later enjoying
traveling together to Arizona for the winters. Lorna was a lovely and very
special lady who was a true delight to be with. She had a heart of gold and
deep compassion and sincerity for helping others, whether it was her family or
her friends, their needs always came first before her own. Lorna was a loving,
caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who placed the
needs of her family above all else. She adored her family and doing special
things for them. Lorna also loved playing in both bridge clubs and golfing.
Lornašs true beauty and the love she shared with her family and friends will be
missed more than words can express but her memory will remain cherished in their
hearts forever. Lorna leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband and best
friend of forty-five years, Neil of Red Deer, her son, Alan of Calgary, Alberta
and his children, Weston, Scott and Deanna and her daughter, Kim and her
husband, Steve Van Tetering of Red Deer and their children, Janelle and Justin.
She will also be very sadly missed by her mother, Lizzie Nelson, brothers, Bob
(Audrey) Nelson, Jim (Judy) Nelson, sisters, Pat (Ken) Hatt and Wanda (Lyle)
Peterson, sister-in-law, Jessie Nelson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and
dear and loyal friends. Lorna was predeceased by her father, Lowell in 1985 and
a brother, Ted in 1992. A Public Celebration of Lorna's Life was held at
Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday,
July 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation was entrusted to the Central Alberta
Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Lorna's
honour may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street,
