Andreasen: Erik

 Erik Andreasen passed away suddenly in Salmon Arm, BC on December 20, 2005 at the age of 62 years.   The funeral service was held from the Broadview Evangelical Free Church, Salmon Arm with Pastor Dave Penner officiating on December 27th.    Born in Aarøsund, Denmark on June 8, 1943, Erik had been an active businessman in Salmon Arm. Erik and his family established Salmon Arm Truss Systems Ltd. in May of 1980. He and his brothers have been in the construction industry since 1960 and have brought their expertise to the truss industry in 1977, when they converted their construction business into a truss plant. Between 1987 and 1992, the sons of the original family, Glenn, Greg and Andy, joined the company and now run the business.   Erik is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Greg (Daphne) and Glenn; two grandchildren, Kiera and Miranda, all of Salmon Arm; 3 brothers, Peter (Theresia) of Fairview, AB; Karlo of  Mill Bay, BC and Ejner (Jeanette) of Sorrento, BC; good friend and brother-in-law, Bruce (Bev) Bidinoff and good friend and long-time neighbour, Cecil (Kathy) Yanke; and many nieces and nephews.    Email condolences may be sent to sympathy@bowersfuneralservice.com.   Funeral arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm.   

Downey - Richard John McKenzie (Ric)  1944 - 2005

Richard John McKenzie (Ric) Downey,  born February 21, 1944 in Regina, Sk; died December 24, 2005 in Calgary Foothills Hospital.  Predeceased by parents Albert and Lily Downey; infant daughter Maija; stepson Glenn Van Breugel.  Survived and missed forever by loving family: wife Viki; daughters Erica (Al), Marissa, and Preston; Heather Shadlock (Tom), Hayden and Teagan; stepdaughter Wendy Bronson (Paul), Courtenay, Nathan; brothers Michael (Susan), Pat.  Niece Candace; nephews Bryce and Ryan.  Dog Cleo and cat Quilt, and a myriad of friends around the world who shared the "Road to Happy Destiny" in fellowship.  Memorial service Wednesday, December 28 at 4 p.m. in Morrin Lutheran Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for STARS ambulance.
